Everybody must be swamped because the board is really quiet.
I suggest y'all come up for air for a moment and say howdy!
I'm only taking one class this semester (A&P I) so I'm in pretty good shape. Although, we're closing on our house on the 25th of this month so I'm busy doing the runaround for that.
Also, can someone come help me clean and pack (notice the order of operations - I'm a messy).
Take care everyone!

Lisa...you have my sympathy. I did A&P I last quarter. Hated the bones. A&P II is easier in lab, in my opinion. Muscles are much easier, I think. At least you get some clue by where it's located on the body.
yea the uniforms do make you look much bigger, my @ss is the size of Montana anyway, I don't need it covered in white to emphasize that fact
Call me crazy but I loved studying the bones in A & P 1. all those condyles, fossas, foramini, it was my favorite part of that class. but maybe it's cause I am in radiology and I look at bones all day, who knows!
Studying, studying, studying. Assignments, care plans. Working - kids - housework. I've been trying to poke my head in occasionally and do a post or two on the board. I think the mid-semester crunch has it's jaws clamped on all of us. Keep pluggin' everyone!!
i think im in denial about the amount of papers and exams i have coming up in the next 3 weeks. Time to get my a$$ in gear and crank out some work. Thanksgiving vacation will be much more fun if i manage to get everything done before it starts. I am amazed that it is already the 5th of november. Good luck wrapping up the semester everyone! -Lorus

LOL angelac!
I've recently lost 21 pounds on the South Beach Diet (WOL really) since Sept. 22 of this year. My butt is no longer the size of Montana! (Somewhere in between Montana and Ohio now, lol). And I am hypoglycemic and this way of eating really stabilzes by blood sugar.
On top of studying all those bones I have come down with some kind of illness and have lost my voice today. Well, at least my fingers can still type!!!
You must be born to know those bones angelac, I wish I loved 'em that much!
It's been crazy lately, so swamped with stuff I couldn't even think about visiting the board! I shouldn't be now, I just had to take a break from the endless class/work/study/sleep cycle! Right now, I have my eyes on Thanksgiving break (although I am sure I will have plenty to do schoolwise, at least I may be able to take a little break to eat some turkey and pumpkin pie!!! mmm....) Feeling pretty homesick today.
I'm here.....still in my A & P 2 course...and not learning a thing. We are on the digestive system, and he was going over the gall bladder...I asked him about gall stones and what happens to the gall bladder. He just said something like," Uh yeah...it has something to do with the gall bladder....uh it expands, yeah...it expands"....everybody looked at him like he was crazy....arrrgghhh....do you all see why I wanted to drop the class. I am definitely taking it over next semester....definitely. I was thinking about taking micro when I start my nursing program.
Fatima (who feels like I'm being cheated for my money)

Fatima, you poor thing. He sounds like a gem.
Hang in there.

Somehow I'll get through these bones i DO hope that A&P II is better! LOL
Yeah, I heard that they're going to Maroon colored pants & the white shirt. So we're still stuck with the white shirt, but the maroon pants I can deal with. A lot less stressful to wear around that time of the month!!! :imbar
A&P II is fairly tough. You may want to start studying up on the muscles this December before winter quarter starts. I got a head start before the quarter & it really helped me out. Right now I'm up to my eyeballs in the endocrine system...trying to memorize what hormones come from what glands & what they do...ack.
(btw...don't take Sosebee for A&P II lecture...he tests really hard!)

Thanks for the tip about studying up on the muscles. I will!
Nope, not gonna take Sosebee, taking Klopfenstein...the guy's great. I wouldn't say his tests are "easy," he just teaches well and prepares everyone so well for the tests, IMO. There are people failing in my class, but I don't think it's because of the prof.
It is good to see everyone popping in to give updates and let everyone know they are still out there and breathing! Keep your chins up...the end is in sight (somewhere out there, lol).

I got through stints of visiting the boards a million times a day, to not visiting for weeks. I'm moody about it, I guess.
Not to mention I've been having too much fun playing with my new toy (yes, it finally arrived - see attached picture, if it works - NEVERMIND, it didn't)! :)
Between kids, work, and school...... feeling very burned out right now. And to think that signup for the spring semester has already begun... trying to decide how many classes I'll be able to handle. Hmmm, I work M-F 8-5 , do you think spending 4 nights a week in class (45 mile commute) would be too much? LOL

I am so overwhelmed with Chemistry, anatomy, and child development. Oh it is so horrible. Actually I got the horrible cold that lasts 9 plus weeks, and got behind in chemistry, and well now I'm playing catch up.
Next semester just physiology and micro.
