Where is everyone???

Everybody must be swamped because the board is really quiet.

I suggest y'all come up for air for a moment :D and say howdy!

I'm only taking one class this semester (A&P I) so I'm in pretty good shape. Although, we're closing on our house on the 25th of this month so I'm busy doing the runaround for that.

Also, can someone come help me clean and pack (notice the order of operations - I'm a messy).

Take care everyone!

LOL, Sue.

Yes, everyone is probably swamped. I, too, am only taking A&P I this quarter. Feeling kinda swamped myself at the moment, have a test coming up over bones, articulations and the digestive system. I have an A in the class so far, but these bones may be my undoing!

Can't help you with the cleaning (yep, I'm a messy, too), but if I were closer geographically I am one heck of a good packer!!!

GL with your move! :)

I was wondering this, too! I figured everyone was either really busy or too down in the dumps to post (see "midsemester blues" thread). I'm only taking A&P I, too; although it's a lot of material, it's not enough to keep me busy, so I'm looking for a part-time job. Actually have an interview at the hospital affiliated with the nursing school I applied to, as a tech in the Cardiology clinic. Drawing blood, doing EKGs, that sort of thing.

Good luck with packing and moving! :)

I'm not a student, but I am quite busy with prep/kids/work! lol

I try to check in daily...just for some relief and a sort of motivation to keep on trucking!

I certainly hope everyone is doing well, and I look forward to reading some updates soon!

Yeah, it has been rather quiet around here lately.

I'm taking A&P II this quarter & am busy studying for an exam over the autonomic nervous system & the endocrine system. Blah. :p

On a more "fun" note...I start 3 days of clinicals this Saturday for the NA Training class I'm taking this quarter. (NA Training is a requirement at my school if you aren't already a CNA) Bought my uniform on Monday...I look like the michilin man.

I found this site good to look at for identifying the bones so far :)

LOL AmyLiz, don't you just love those white uniforms? wait till you sit in something, like I did on the first day!

I am just plain worn out from this semester, clinicals have taken more out of me than I expected.

We did have a baby shower today for one girl in our class. The 2 guys even brought presents, one said it was his first baby shower ever. So we have had a little fun, but mostly it's work work work.

I have noticed this too!

I am still here plugging away. I should be cleaning and packing too, since we are moving the same week as finals. Oh well, I need a mental break a few times a day so I come here and read about everyone elses troubles that way I don't feel like I am the only one out there that has these feelings.

Man I hope I don't do that. I swear white makes you look 100 pounds heavier too. :p

Lisa...you have my sympathy. I did A&P I last quarter. Hated the bones. A&P II is easier in lab, in my opinion. Muscles are much easier, I think. At least you get some clue by where it's located on the body.

Yuck, don't wanna wear the white uniform. Amy, have you heard that Sinclair is changing their nursing uniform colors? I heard two different people talking about it, but can't remember what color they're changing to (either red or blue?)

Somehow I'll get through these bones i DO hope that A&P II is better! LOL

I think that this is the busiest week of nursing school so far. Let me see....we had our 4th exam last Wednesday....1st clinical last Thursday...Monday we had our 5th exam (back to back exams, gotta love it) as well as narrative documentation from clinical....Wednesday (today) we had our 2nd Pharm test and a Pharm paper/quiz due...tomorrow is clinical and I'm awaiting the phonecall from my instructor for my pt info. Oh yeah, still have a paper due for history on Friday. And a dosage test next week (kind of seems like a slow week if you ask me :) )

I have been reading the board the whole time while I tried in vain to avoid all of this work! I too noticed that things had slowed down a bit... For me, I think its a combo of still playing catchup from Hurricane Isabel (we missed over a week of class) and its really just crunch time! I really had taken things for granted until last week! Now I know what I have to look foward to! But, I am still doing OK!!!
