Type in the book you want & it will pull up a bunch of websites with all different prices. I just got mine from there & saved about $100.
I have never heard of any program requiring you to buy your textbooks from the bookstore. They get you ever which way. Anyway, I have used the following website to get good deals on textbooks for both myself and my son. You can search by ISBN #, title, and author. It will lead you to sites where you can get the book new or used.
If you can, buy your books anywhere but the bookstore. I bought a book for $34.00 (inlcudes shipping) on half.com and when I went to the bookstore they were selling it for $52.00.
I had good luck with half.com and also ecampus.com. Shipping charges were minimal and the books get delivered rather quickly.
Also, try the publisher website and see if they sell books online.
All you need to find a book online is get the ISBN number that is located where the scan code is on the book. A lot of the websites have instructions on how to find the ISBN and make sure you have the correct number. Also, it doesn't hurt to get the Title, Edition, and name of Author(s).
Good Luck!

I got all my nursing books from ecampus.com! They have free shipping, plus you get $10 off of a $200 order. It took them about 2 weeks to get to me, but it's free shipping!! www.ecampus.com
Just be sure that your savings on the cost of the book isn't lost on the cost of shipping.
Also, my daughter's elem. school participates in a program called schoolcash.com. They give a portion of the sale back to the school. I was able to shop with barnes and noble, pay no shipping and 3% of the purchase price went back to her school. If your kids have this program, give it a try.
