I'd like to know when will I receive my Nclex eligibility. I'm from California and I just went back to the Philippines to finish Nursing. I graduated last March 2010. I moved back here on June 2010 and applied that month as well, After 2 weeks, I got a mail from BON requesting for additional requirements from my school which includes: Class Schedule, Schedule of Clinical Rotation, Photocopy of enrollment forms, transcript of classes prior to enrolling at the nursing program and a photocopy of my passport. My school sent the documents last week of July via FedEx. I checked the tracking number at FedEx and it said that the recipient (BON) already received the documents last August 3, 2010. As of now, I still did not get any letter from BON. How long do I usually have to wait?
@pinaylala21 hi i just rcvd a letter asking same additional documents as yours and i have the same situation as well... can you help me by giving a step by step process.. tnx and God bless on the Nclex exam! :)
Just have your school send all those documents to BON and from there, call BON and ask if they already received it. Once they get all of those additional documents, they'll mail you your eligibility letter. g'luck!
so i'm having the same problem that you all have. i just received a letter from BON CA asking for these additional req. the problem is that i'm no longer in the philippines, i'm in guam. did you all have to resend these reqs in order to get ur elegibility or just waited it out a bit longer? cause my grandma is the only one in the area in my school and i think she would have problems moving around and all. thank you so much! happy holidays.

Hi Angeldreamer! Whatever BON is asking for, you should have someone send it because they won't send your eligibility until they have all of those. I didn't have any relative in Baguio City where I went to school but I actually had a friend get the documents. I had her pay it first then I reimbursed it by sending the money via Western Union. Unfortunately, the first set of the additional documents that BON needed got lost in the mail so I had them send it again. Since my friend wasn't at Baguio City anymore, our registrar kind heartedly paid for it until it was sent and the BON received it already then that's when I paid our registrar back. Once all the documents have been sent, call BON to confirm whether they received it or not because the first time, I was waiting for nothing. If I haven't called, I wouldn't know that the first set of the documents got lost in the mail or something. When BON got all the documents, I called and they made me eligible through phone and 2 days later, got the eligibility letter. Good luck!!!

hi angeldreamer. we are required to submit additional documents from BON CA if we international students which includes among others; clinical rotations from 2nd level-4th level; class schedule from 1st4th level etc. the rotations shall be certified by the dean of the nursing school with seal, the class schedule by the registrar. all forms required from school should be sent by school and be sure to have a photocopy of the letter from the BON re: requesting that form and have it attached to your documents. in the my case, i was also required to submit a copy of the passport. since i already have a green card- i included a photocopy of my greencard too with the passport photocopy. but before submitting those (passport, greencard photocopies), be sure to follow up with your school if it has been sent and on what date. if its ordinary mail it usually arrived at one-two weeks. so after that date, make a letter addressed/ATTENTION to the one who review your papers in BON (as seen in their letter) telling them that your additional requirements from school was submitted by your school on what date and what courier then you also attached your photocopy of passport as required. LIkewise, photocopy of their letter, highlighting the documents required which you have already accomplished. AFter signing in your name, put the application number ( im not sure its application number , but its a number as indicated in your letter which is given to each nclex applicant) so that they wont have a hard time locating your other documents.
I did this all and it only take one week for the BON to act on my application . God bless you.
I'm a reg. nurse from the Philippines and graduated 2010. I arrived here in CA last June 2011. I applied for NCLEX last August. After a week they replied asking for some additional requirements like my rle logforms. I was able to submit those in a week. And after a month they were asking me again for a lot of documents coming from my school.
Items that must come directly to the Board from your nursing school:
1. Verification letter from your nursing school that they follow the curriculum provided by CHED. If not, why. Have them explain if theory and clinical completed concurrently, in the same semester reflected on transcripts and if all clinical rotations are completed within the semester that is reflected on the transcripts and RLE
2. Clinical rotation schedule for the required actual/assisted/cord dressing/major minor procedures refelecting exact dates clinical coursework was completed, locations rotations were completed, instructor signatures etc.
3. Have your nursing school submit an explanation on when the required major/minor/actual/assisted/cord dressing procedures are supposed to be completed - which semester(s)
4. A student handbook for the timeframe you began your nursing program
5. Academic calendar which reflects exacts dates each semester, all holidays and all breaks begin and end
It is just getting ridiculous. They could've just at least explain why they are asking for those requirements. I've already submitted everything that they've asked me on their first letter, like my rle logforms, a copy of my entire VISA including blank pages, a copy of my prc license as a nurse in the PI, a copy of my diploma, and I even submitted a copy of my board exam rating. I don't just get the reason why are they asking me those additional requirements when I've already presented that - just like the other Filipino applicants, I legally graduated from a qualified university with the right curriculum. Why can't they just send me my eligibility.

Things change all the time and if they have had issues in regards to training then they will ask for more stuff. At the end of the day they have to make sure that you are at a similar level as nurses training in California
