When will I receive my Nclex Eligibility in California

Published

I'd like to know when will I receive my Nclex eligibility. I'm from California and I just went back to the Philippines to finish Nursing. I graduated last March 2010. I moved back here on June 2010 and applied that month as well, After 2 weeks, I got a mail from BON requesting for additional requirements from my school which includes: Class Schedule, Schedule of Clinical Rotation, Photocopy of enrollment forms, transcript of classes prior to enrolling at the nursing program and a photocopy of my passport. My school sent the documents last week of July via FedEx. I checked the tracking number at FedEx and it said that the recipient (BON) already received the documents last August 3, 2010. As of now, I still did not get any letter from BON. How long do I usually have to wait?:confused::confused:

mine takes 4months from the day I applied for the nclex-rn exam..Dont worry you will get it.Are you testing as soon as you receive it?

4 months? Thats long, You should update your file in BON. Usually they dont send another letter.

Are you guys also international grads or were you in the nursing program here in cali? I know US nsg grads doesn't take long until they get their eligibility and att. I wanna know how long international grads get their eligibility.

@roze: As soon as I get my eligibility, yes I'm going to register and set up the sched for my exam.

@jtanga: I emailed my analyst on the last week of august and she just said to be "patient."

I also graduated in the Philippines and came back right after my graudation. I applied for my eligibility and received it after 1 1/2mo. of waiting and for the ATT only 1 day via email.

Did you just graduate this year also? Did you also receive a letter from BON asking additional requirements before you got your eligibility?

I graduated April of last year but I took the NCLEX not prepared so unfortunately I didn't pass. I applied again for my eligibility and received it faster than the first time but the BON Cali didn't asked any other requirements. Are you an RN in the Philippines? Because if you are you wouldn't have any problem applying for your eligibility unlike me I had to write them a letter stating why I didn't take my local boards and submitted my application for eligibility at same time. Are you enrolled to any review class?

Hi aspiringnurs. No, I'm not a RN in the Phil. I flew back here in Cali a month after graduation April 2010. How long did you have to wait until you got your eligibility the first time around? I'm just self reviewing for now. What review center do you recommend?

Hi pinaylala :) I also received a letter from BRN asking some additional requirements same as yours.. I already send all the requirements that they are asking for. Me too I'm from the Philippines and just graduated last April. I'm hoping that they will send me the eligibility letter this week because I know it usually takes 2 to 4 weeks..

Hi HOP3. Yah we do have the same situation. I hope we do get our eligibility anytime soon. Good luck to us! Are you enrolled in any review center right now?

Hi, I enrolled in Hurst Review, ouch, im spending too much money for the reviewer and other stuff. I hope I pass my nclex rn exam. I dont really really care how much money I spend, as long as I pass the exam.
