When will I receive my Nclex Eligibility in California

I'd like to know when will I receive my Nclex eligibility. I'm from California and I just went back to the Philippines to finish Nursing. I graduated last March 2010. I moved back here on June 2010 and applied that month as well, After 2 weeks, I got a mail from BON requesting for additional requirements from my school which includes: Class Schedule, Schedule of Clinical Rotation, Photocopy of enrollment forms, transcript of classes prior to enrolling at the nursing program and a photocopy of my passport. My school sent the documents last week of July via FedEx. I checked the tracking number at FedEx and it said that the recipient (BON) already received the documents last August 3, 2010. As of now, I still did not get any letter from BON. How long do I usually have to wait? :confused::confused::confused:

hey, guys, i have same problem regarding my application in NCLEX RN.. i grduated in philippines last year 2011. they sent me letter for additional requirements. like the clarification of the exact number of hours completed in both theory and clinical for psychiatric nsg.. im getting frustrated.. its been 3 months since i sent my additional reqs from my school and i havent recieved any letter from em..

@ pinaylala : how many months u wait till u got ur eligiblity? can i have i ur number..so i could just text/cal u if i have question. please? :)

pinaylala21 me too. we have the same problem. they don't have any response yet since i send the requirements that they want. now i am planning to submit another application to another state.

hi zhapper! had you ever taken our local (Philippines) board exam? Do you think it is possible that this is the reason why they are asking for list of our cases?

I never took the PNLE. I posted here 2 month ago because the Cali BRN is requesting me to send the other additional requirements. I passed it already and on CHRISTMAS EVE, I got a bad news because they're telling me that my nursing education didnt meet the minimun requirements here in Cali for me to take the NCLEX. So I was really depressed and sad. The worst part is that in order for me to be eligible I need to study again MS and OB Nursing which is a disaster.Imagine CLINICALS AND THEORY. :( Im trynna call the Cali BRN to clear things out since my cousin who was also my schoolmate and we got the same curriculum, who already took the NCLEX. I would just like to know WHAT HAPPENED and why is that my cousin was able to sit for the exam.

Isn't unfair right? I was thinking maybe because I havent taken the PNLE that's why they are stating reasons which is really you know, sort of confusing. Anyways, ursweetpea, have you taken the PNLE or not? I passed also my cases last september. I was really depressed because 2 more months to go, it's been 1 year since I graduated.

What's your email? can we talk? I guess we can join our forces to formulate what we're gonna do. From what school are you? thanks :)

P.S. I called BRN yesterday but the person I was looking for wasn't there. Im gonna try calling today :)

Did you call the Cali BRN about that? I called 'em this morning only to find out that there has been changes for you to be eligible in taking the nclex-rn.

hi guys.. im also experiencing the same problem.. i received a letter from the BON of Cali just this day after 7-8weeks of waiting.. the letter stated that my school must send them the RECORD OF THE REQUIRED CLINICAL CASES (ACTUAL/ASSISTED DELIVERIES, CORD DRESSINGS, AND MAJOR/MINOR PROCEDURES), REFLECTING THE EXACT DATES CLINICAL PROCEDURES WERE COMPLETED, THE LOCATIONS IN WHICH THEY WERE COMPLETED, INSTRUCTORS SIGNATURES, ETC.. and ACADEMIC CALENDAR WHICH REFLECTS EXACTS DATES EACH SEMESTER, ALL HOLIDAYS AND ALL BREAKS BEGINS AND END.. I did not take the PNLE. i must also send them additional requirements such as a copy of my visa and/or passport for the timeframe of my nursing school including the copy of the empty pages of the passport and my US ssn.. im a dual citizen.. when i asked someone i know who applied, she said that it just took her 2-3weeks to receive her eligibility.. she's just a green card holder and did not take the PNLE.. she applied twice.. bec she did not passed the first test.. on her second application, same thing happened, she receives her eligibility in just a few weeks.. and how did that happened?? i dont get it..

same thing happened to me just few months ago. they requested me to send all of those. After I got all of those additional requirements, I've sent it to them immediately then only to find out that my nursing education didn't meet the minimum requirements here in California. For me to be eligible I need to retake MS and OB Nursing both theory and clinicals. There has been a lot of changes these past few months. They're now even more strict when it comes to applicant's eligibility. I tried calling them as well. Now I'm finding a school where I can enroll to finish those two subjects AGAIN. So frustrating. :(
