When will I receive my Nclex Eligibility in California

I'd like to know when will I receive my Nclex eligibility. I'm from California and I just went back to the Philippines to finish Nursing. I graduated last March 2010. I moved back here on June 2010 and applied that month as well, After 2 weeks, I got a mail from BON requesting for additional requirements from my school which includes: Class Schedule, Schedule of Clinical Rotation, Photocopy of enrollment forms, transcript of classes prior to enrolling at the nursing program and a photocopy of my passport. My school sent the documents last week of July via FedEx. I checked the tracking number at FedEx and it said that the recipient (BON) already received the documents last August 3, 2010. As of now, I still did not get any letter from BON. How long do I usually have to wait? :confused::confused::confused:

Im inquiring now for the completion of my deficiency. I don't know yet the price but Im goin to San Francisco State University by nextweek. They told me they accept students like our case :( what are your plans now? Imma take the NCLEX-PN as for now. then after finishing MS and OB, next is to sit for NCLEX-RN. what's your email? let's talk. my email is [email protected] THANKS! :)I want someone to talk to about this :(

I never took the PNLE. I posted here 2 month ago because the Cali BRN is requesting me to send the other additional requirements. I passed it already and on CHRISTMAS EVE, I got a bad news because they're telling me that my nursing education didnt meet the minimun requirements here in Cali for me to take the NCLEX. So I was really depressed and sad. The worst part is that in order for me to be eligible I need to study again MS and OB Nursing which is a disaster.Imagine CLINICALS AND THEORY. :( Im trynna call the Cali BRN to clear things out since my cousin who was also my schoolmate and we got the same curriculum, who already took the NCLEX. I would just like to know WHAT HAPPENED and why is that my cousin was able to sit for the exam.

Isn't unfair right? I was thinking maybe because I havent taken the PNLE that's why they are stating reasons which is really you know, sort of confusing. Anyways, ursweetpea, have you taken the PNLE or not? I passed also my cases last september. I was really depressed because 2 more months to go, it's been 1 year since I graduated.

What's your email? can we talk? I guess we can join our forces to formulate what we're gonna do. From what school are you? thanks :)

P.S. I called BRN yesterday but the person I was looking for wasn't there. Im gonna try calling today :)

hey guys i think whether you took the PNLE or not does not have something to do with their decision because i passed the PNLE but here i am having the same case as yours..:-(

are you from norcal? i reside here in socal and i don't know of any colleges her that would allow us to enroll just ms and ob. is that the option that you're really going to take?

Yes Im from Norcal. I honestly called several schools. So if they tell you they don't accept students like us who only need to finish and complete our deficiencies, try calling the Board of Nursing so that they'll refer you and tell you other schools to choose from. :) That's the only choice that I have for now. :(

Hi guys, i was reading your comments. I am also an RN from the Philippines, i am here in the US now. I applied for NCLEX-RN around March last year, same with you guys i applied in California, from what i have been reading from your comments a lot of things changed already. When i applied, i have submitted only the documents that i saw was listed online, and then they just asked me to send them a copy of my greencard. I would say i waited 1 1/2 months before they sent me my eligibility. I took NCLEX last Dec and i was lucky i passed. Goodluck guys!!!

hi! have they only asked for additional requirements of school related such as your clinical cases or something like that other than your greencard?? did you take the PNLE?? bec the bon of cali is asking for those just last year.. tnx.. and congrats!!

hi angeldreamer. we are required to submit additional documents from BON CA if we international students which includes among others; clinical rotations from 2nd level-4th level; class schedule from 1st4th level etc. the rotations shall be certified by the dean of the nursing school with seal, the class schedule by the registrar. all forms required from school should be sent by school and be sure to have a photocopy of the letter from the BON re: requesting that form and have it attached to your documents. in the my case, i was also required to submit a copy of the passport. since i already have a green card- i included a photocopy of my greencard too with the passport photocopy. but before submitting those (passport, greencard photocopies), be sure to follow up with your school if it has been sent and on what date. if its ordinary mail it usually arrived at one-two weeks. so after that date, make a letter addressed/ATTENTION to the one who review your papers in BON (as seen in their letter) telling them that your additional requirements from school was submitted by your school on what date and what courier then you also attached your photocopy of passport as required. LIkewise, photocopy of their letter, highlighting the documents required which you have already accomplished. AFter signing in your name, put the application number ( im not sure its application number , but its a number as indicated in your letter which is given to each nclex applicant) so that they wont have a hard time locating your other documents.

I did this all and it only take one week for the BON to act on my application . God bless you.

are they telling you as well to repeat certain subjects?? that's what happened to my application
