When will I receive my Nclex Eligibility in California

I'd like to know when will I receive my Nclex eligibility. I'm from California and I just went back to the Philippines to finish Nursing. I graduated last March 2010. I moved back here on June 2010 and applied that month as well, After 2 weeks, I got a mail from BON requesting for additional requirements from my school which includes: Class Schedule, Schedule of Clinical Rotation, Photocopy of enrollment forms, transcript of classes prior to enrolling at the nursing program and a photocopy of my passport. My school sent the documents last week of July via FedEx. I checked the tracking number at FedEx and it said that the recipient (BON) already received the documents last August 3, 2010. As of now, I still did not get any letter from BON. How long do I usually have to wait? :confused::confused::confused:

its pretty depressing how our application went. i mean, i would totally accept it that i have deficiency if they raised the minimum hours but they did not.,and one thing also is that i have classmates and friends here who went to same school and have exactly the same hours.

zhapper2002-im really sorry about ur situation. just dont give up yet, try to contact your school and let them know your delema. they might help you.

proudpinay- what do you mean the reapplication form? is that your appeal to re-evaluate or you really applied for a new one again? thank you!.

i just finished talking to one of the nclex international analyst about my deficiency.

she is very nice and she tried to explain to me why i am deficient even though my clasmates and i have the same hours.

so basically, i was deficient because the administration of board of nursing changed jan. of 2011. so those who applied for 2011 might ov been under the book by book policy administration.

i have psychiatric hours deficiency, and the only way i could take my exam is to enroll in one of the schools here.

so i gues i just have to go back to school again. she said it might take up to 1-3 months only for my deficiency.

i hope this info helped you even just a little bit.

That's what my NCLEX Analyst told me. But mine's OB and MS :( I need to enroll and finish it again in a span of 3 years for me to be eligible. So that's what Im gonna do. But now, I applied for NCLEX PN for me to have a license as a PN so that I could have a work also. :) Not bad eh? Good luck to us guys :)

yup! that what i did too!. i applied lvn. heheh!. zhapper-are you from cali? yeah they gave me 3 years also. well see what happen, im trying to inquire now in schools here at SD for my deficiency.

You need to fill out the application form. which is posted on Board of Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technician's website. Board of Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians --- Click licensing and look for Application for Vocational Nurse by examination. That's it :) You need to fill out the forms included in the downloadable packet. Application form, Record of Conviction, Live Scan, Record of Nursing and a photo. :) Good luck! Oh really?! haha we got the same way of thinking. It's better than nothing right? :) Yes Im from Cali. Actually Im about to study this semester in San Francisco State University to complete my deficiency but I changed my mind and instead, Im applying for LVN license :) You applied already? Oh from San Diego. Im from Bay area, only SFSU accepts students who are in the same situation as ours. If you only live here in Bay area, I can accompany you to enroll in SFSU. HAHA Im enrolling next semester. :) Good luck to us! :)

It will take me forever. nah just kidding. for like 2 semesters I guess? :) Oh really? you applied already? Me, I applied just now haha Oh no! dont do that haha Instead of we becoming a nurse, oh god, we'll be the actual patients HAHAHA LOL Yeah! same sentiments here. We can do it!
