When will I receive my Nclex Eligibility in California

I'd like to know when will I receive my Nclex eligibility. I'm from California and I just went back to the Philippines to finish Nursing. I graduated last March 2010. I moved back here on June 2010 and applied that month as well, After 2 weeks, I got a mail from BON requesting for additional requirements from my school which includes: Class Schedule, Schedule of Clinical Rotation, Photocopy of enrollment forms, transcript of classes prior to enrolling at the nursing program and a photocopy of my passport. My school sent the documents last week of July via FedEx. I checked the tracking number at FedEx and it said that the recipient (BON) already received the documents last August 3, 2010. As of now, I still did not get any letter from BON. How long do I usually have to wait? :confused::confused::confused:

Hi fellows,i am one of the many nursing graduate who have the same delema. i also have deficiency in psychiatric nursing, but i dont understand because 5 of my classmates and they are my close friends as well, received eligibility. i called my school they said we have perfectly the same hours and concurrency in that area. how come i didnt received my eligibility?. i even helped one of my friend in her application here. is it ok that i should talk to them (board) and fight for it? because i thinks its unfair. dont you think?please i need your input.thanks a lot.:-)

@ zhapper2002 heyyy. i am exactly in the same boat. lol they also told me that i didnt meet the minimum requirements for OB and MS, and that I'd have to retake them in accredited schools. it also happens that I am in the bay area. so... i really wanna talk to you about enrolling in SFSU. can you get financial aid for this? haha! man, this sucks but we have to comply i guess. so how can i contact you? :)

i have tried to talk to the board last month and they said that the minimum requirememnts was increased last jan of 2011.

so im trying to find a school here at SD to finish my deficiency, cuz i gues i have no choice. super sad. whats your situation?

@zhapper2002: my situation right now is kinda similar to yours. I received a letter from the BON stating that my nursing education does not meet the minimum requirements in Med-Surgical and Obstetric nursing. I also have to make up both theory and clinicals. :( It's really sad how we're all having a hard time with this.

@marhodz: i'm also from san diego. were you able to find a school? I'm still trying to figure out what i'm going to do.

to nursewholikesnursing- hi, hmm, i was thinking about that but some people told me that would be difficult because the board should know that i already had my application submitted in CA state.

i dont know. its really giving me hard time.

you know what, i was thinking to go to an attorney!. to just get an advice. i mean, i thot it was jez me but i can see theres alot of us out here.i have nothing against the board but its just unfair in my part. because my classmates got their eligibility. same hours. just last year too. they said they have not changed anything, but then later they said they changed it already.

hi, oh i see.i'm going to start calling the different schools on monday..um,
