Let's have a stress break here. If you are like me you have a list a mile long of things you have put on the back burner while in school.
When I graduate I am going to.....
1. Clean the damn house!
2. Start working on some home improvement projects
3. Get more involved in daughters school and girl scouts
You?
- finally read the many books i have bought over the past 2 years, but never had the time to actually read.
- reconnect with some of my non-nursing friends that i have seemingly drifted apart from during nursing school(side note: isn't it intersting how friends seem to become divided into 2 groups; nursing friends and non-nursing friends?)
-make sure to keep in close contact with my nursing school friends(or, more appropriately, nursing school family). we have been through way too much over the past 2 years to lose touch now.
-actually try dating again. that part of my life has been on hold pretty much for the past 2 years(though nursing school isn't the only reason for that). i think, that at 25, i am finally ready for "grown up" dating. and by that, i mean, trying to meet guys with actual relationship potential, not just hot guys in bands.
-pay off my credit card debt. i never thought that it would weigh on my mind so much, but it does. i keep thinking "i owe mbna $5000 and i really have nothing to show for it. what did i spend that money on, anyway?"
-be smarter about my financial situation and save money for a new car.
-finally get a dog. my dog ran away about 3 years ago and i never found her. i always wanted another one, but nursing school just did not seem like the time to get a new puppy.
I plan to:
1. Take the family back to DisneyWorld (if my youngest is 40 inches by then!)
2. Gut and remodel my crappy, outdated kitchen and then move my master closet and gut and expand my crappy, outdated, tiny master bath! (My DH and I are self-proclaimed Do-it-ourself-ers!)
3. Hire a housekeeper
4. Get my hubby into a newer truck
Wow, I've been waiting for two years to graduate and now its just DAYS away.....what will I do...?
Well, finish the application process at the hospital I work at, get my app in to the state BON for my license, take a live NCLEX review, and take the nclex, start orientation.......
wait a minute? when AM i going to get some free time? LOL Looks like it is more than just a few days away
But in a few months, I will...
Pay off DEBT
Start looking for a real HOUSE and get out of this crummy apartment
Take a vacation! Disneyworld here I come
And maybe get pregnant with child #1 of ?
I haven't had a life in so long, I can barely remember what it feels like
WOW, this turned out to be a great conversation!
Took my last final today, first thing I did was hit the gym for a good 2 hour workout, been too long and I am feeling the burn. Plan on making it back on Wed.
Tonight is laundry night, the mountain is calling my name!! Finally going to catch this one thing up and feel good that I finally accomplished something. *whew*
Tommorow I am taking my entrance exam for the RN program (must be a glutton for punishment, LOL) then working in the evening. AFter that, just cleaning the house and studying for NCLEX for the rest of the week.
Start my new job as a grad nurse on Monday, I am SO excited!
Keep them coming...and CONGRATS EVERYONE!!

Hey lori, i am soo confused. You said you're taking an entrance exam for an RN program... but then you are studying for the NCLEX, and then you say you will be starting a new job as a nurse. I am befuddled! Please clarify :nuke:
