Let's have a stress break here. If you are like me you have a list a mile long of things you have put on the back burner while in school.

When I graduate I am going to.....

1. Clean the damn house!

2. Start working on some home improvement projects

3. Get more involved in daughters school and girl scouts

You?

YES! Have to go for the leisure reading!!

Specializes in OB, Cardiac.

When I graduate I'm going to:

-READ, READ, READ!! books that I want to read of course

-have a baby

-buy a house

-ENJOY not having homework!! just go be a nurse & come home to my husband & relax!

Specializes in ED, Pedi Vasc access, Paramedic serving 6 towns.

For all of you that like to read, I have to read a 300 page book for ethics (not a text book). I just plain and simply HATE reading. Can some of you folks who LOVE to read, read this book and tell be all about it?

SW, we COULD...but can't you already tell that would be the wrong approach to take for an ETHICS course? ;) Now, if you want us to find you cliff notes..maybe we could work on that....

Well, i graduated about a month ago, and its still sinking in, i received my transcripts a week ago and i have my appointment to register on wednesday (its different in Australia).

When i finished, i had hopes of doing celebration stuff, but some of my pals had to resit certain things so that didnt happen.

But a night of dancing and a few drinks did, which was good.

The best part was volunteering for a diabetic kids camp, made me feel like i was leading into something really worthwhile, and i had a blast.

Im planning on further study, however the dream job starts in January, so we will see how it all meshes.

P.S. The house still needs that spring clean, hehe!!!!

Specializes in ORTHOPAEDICS-CERTIFIED SINCE 89.

AdelaideChic Congratulations. Tell us more about how Australian Registration is done.

Ill let you know on Wednesday!!!!

From what i can see, i just take my transcripts, pay the fee, and thats it. Im sure there is a hidden catch to it though.

We dont have a NCLEX type thing, we do the university degree and then i guess the Board sees we have successfully studied everything. Ill let you know what happens once ive done it on wednesday (well thurs, i have my usual job on thurs night - i cant tell them i have registered or they have to fire me as i will be over-qualified. Go figure).

Since I graduated this week:

Go to Las Vegas ...

Book a luxury suite at the Bellagio overlooking the musical water fountains on the strip ...

Enjoy my private sauna and steam room ...

See a couple of shows (Mama Mia, etc.) ...

Eat and drink like a pig ...

And chill with hubby for a few days.

:typing

Specializes in Pediatrics.

My husband and I have both started talking about things that go on "the list". We are living so on the edge financially and I'm so stressed out, so much is going on the list. Let me try to be realistic:

SLEEP

Study hard and pass NCLEX quickly

Buy some non-white nursing shoes

Work my butt off and study as much as I can to become proficient in whatever unit I get a job in

Go back to 1 book a week pleasure reading

Braces for my eldest son (will be 11)

$500/month to savings

WORK, WORK, WORK
