      Seems well-intentioned and sweet.

      Obviously an exploitative publicity stunt.

      Don't care, move on.

So, Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, and some other random celebrities I've never heard of hit up the Peds hospital at Tufts to promote the all-ladies remake of Ghostbusters.

Apparently a bunch of people are really pissed, mainly saying its exploiting children who have never heard of Ghostbusters and obviously don't give a flying fart.

Yay?

Or nay?

True, it isn't child exploitation, but it IS self-serving and ridiculous.

..."toilet seat etiquette"??

Did you see the thread about the guy who was asked by a fellow nurse at his facility to put the toilet seat down?

I really think it depends on the patient's reaction. I don't think the first one is exploitation. The second one definitely is.

Lame, but I don't know about exploitation. I like Kristin Wiig and Kate McKinnon (the one in the glasses in the above pic, she is even funnier than Kristin Wiig on SNL) but that was just stupid and lame. And I think the movie is going to suck.

This picture makes me sick. You can tell the child isn't feeling well/isn't happy, doesn't care for the celebs & the celebs are just there for publicity. That makes me sick. I'd be more impressed with a celeb going to visit sick children & not dragging along cameras, just doing it to make the kid(s) happy. But then we wouldn't all know about it. *rolls eyes*

Yes, the second pic reminds me of an awkward family photo: adults with uncomfortable, forced smiles/poses trying to ignore the fact that the child in the foreground is clearly miserable. (He's obviously more of a Family Guy fan, lol).

And since, for some ridiculous reason, nobody has shared his gloriousness...this is Chris Hemsworth:

You're welcome.

Oh my gosh get over it

These people were just trying to spread joy to people in crummy situations. At least they are trying to bring happiness and joy

It breaks my heart.. This movie is going to suck and it could have been great..

And yeah they were there for free publicity. Most of the younger kids will have no idea and prob. couldn't care less. It's nice they had a camera ready in every room to capture that "special" moment. Too bad it failed..

Now this is some celeb visitation I could use...

No, they were doing it for their own selfish prerogative. To spread the noise about a movie that isn't even close to being in theaters yet.

If I have time in the next couple of days, I'll make you one of Liam Hemsworth. ;)

I'm not reading other answers until I express my initial response which is, "yay"! I think anything that makes a person or child smile/be happy is good. I think kids would like this, knowing the movie is coming out.
