Nurses Humor Nursing Q/A

As many of you know by now, Kim Kardashian had her baby. As if you couldn't miss all the annoying coverage over every single detail. They named that poor kid North West. What are some of the funniest/weirdest/most unusual baby names you have seen? Could be a patient or someone you know in your personal life. Just recently had an elderly pt with the name Golatus.  For the life of me I couldn't figure out why that name was chosen, until she introduced herself as Gladys!  If you say Golatus fast enough, it sounds like Gladys! LOL!!

Honest to goodness, I had a Harry Pitts this Summer. Not Harold, but given name is Harry, and he’s a junior, so his dad gave him that name knowing how much he was teased as a kid. I also had a pt named Dragon this Summer.  Oh, I also had a Harry Johnson.

Baby named ***. Pronounced chi-theed.

Noooooooo! Can't be. Poor kid!

Haha! These are funny. I worked as a CNA for a long time before I became a nurse and used to work with a 17 year old named Clitoria. Her mom was a crack addict who thought it was funny. She told her daughter her father was so good at hitting that spot she kept going back to him until she got pregnant so she named her that. The poor girl went by CC but was planning to change her name as soon as she turned 18.

Anyways, I know a Bunny, Starburst and I have seen a La-a before.

I knew someone once named Toi (pronounced toy) Balls... Yup, not a married name either!

The other one was Dorcus.

I wonder what parents think sometimes!

I know a Dorcus...it's a foreign name.
