What's the first thing you'll buy when you're officially an RN?

Saw this thread in the Male Nurse forum and thought it was a great idea. What is the first thing you'll do in terms of purchases when you're officially a nurse. I would like to start heavily paying off my student loans, save up for a house, and get weekly pedicures! What about you?

Tithe! Give thanks to my creator, he brought me a mightly long way

Give me parents a good vacation.

Move to fancy high rise in NJ

Lease a snazzy new ride

A designer bag!

All inclusive vacation somewhere hot.

A luxurious spa day...

Back to studying so I can make all these things and then some happen :icon_roll

I agree, I'm paying my tithes right off the bat, after that getting my mom a new dishwasher cuz she's been saying from day one "I want my dishwasher" lol....so a dishwasher she shall have. A "ME" day (hair, pedi, mani, massage, facial) then I'm taking my family on a vacay and last but not least SOME REST!!!

1. Rhinoplasty

2. a designer bag

3. A shiny new car

4. A vacation for my family

AND regular mani's and pedi's!!! We spend so much time on out feet so we need to take care of them :D

i intend on using these items to pretty much guarantee that ill sleep for 16-20 hours a time for *maybe* 3-4 days straight.

Oh sleep,rest,relaxation..ive missed you so !

+ a king size ergonomic bed and a space to put it in :)

A new car...i'm really hoping the one i got gets me through my last year of the nursing program!

Specializes in Operating Room.

I was hoping to get a car (still searching), but ended up having to pay for my dog's tumor removal surgery with my first pay check. It was worth every cent.

When I get my first RN job: my own car! I've been sharing with my husband and once I'm gone for 12 hour shifts, he's really going to need to have a vehicle at home.

Right after graduation I want to go on a vacation, maybe Paradise Island in the Bahamas.

A Coach purse! Also pay off some bills, finally.

Specializes in Ambulatory care.

I want to have my own Bachelorette Pad complete with gadgets and cool stuff. So with that goal in mind no buying anything else for me. Otherwise yes will be doing the practical things of paying down my student loans, saving for apt. Haha I already started with the makeover and I dont even have a job yet. (trendy haircut + facial, eyebrows, make up / dermatologist consult).

When I passed NCLEX, I bought myself a new lawnmower. Yup I did!

Step 1: Buy a puppy

Step 2: Pay off student loans

After I passed NCLEX-RN I bought a cruiser bike. It has an old fasion look!!! So cute. Everyone who sees my bike always asks where did I get it.

After I get my first RN job, I will have Rhinoplasty done and Dental braces on me.
