I'm just curious, what everyone is taking this fall.
I'm taking Bio., Psyc., and I'm on the waiting list for English comp. I haven't been is school for a 7 years, and I remember liking bio., but I don't remember much about it, should I be concerned, or will they start with the basics? Also I HATED english is HS, so I'm concerned about that class too. Has any one had Eng. Comp. yet? What should I expect?

I am taking Anatomy and Physiology I. and Nursing and Health Changes II. this fall. This makes a total of 15 credit hours. By doing this, I will only have A&P II and Microbiology to complete before having all of my preq. done for the RN bridge program. This schedule will mean very long days on Tuedays and Thursdays because I will have A&P from 8 am until 12, and then lecture and clinicals from 4:30 pm until 11:00 pm. I live an hour away from the college so this means I'll get home on those nights at midnight. I figure that I can get some good study time in at the library while waiting from 12 until 4:30. I know that this won't be easy, but nothing worth having ususally is. At least on Mondays and Wednesdays I'll be home until my evening classes. Hang in there everyone. We can all get through this. Determination is the key.
Hello, my name is AJ. For awhile I've been looking at this website, and I have to say there's a lot of interesting stuff on it. I'm taking my prerequisites right now to get into the RN program. This fall I'm taking Human Anatomy, Pre-Algebra, and English 2. It's scary from time to time because a lot of people try to discourage me. I try not to let it get to me, but sometimes it does. Did anyone ever tell any of you that what you're doing is a big mistake? I'm really glad I joined this website, and I can't wait to hear peoples views on classes and so forth. Good luck to everyone this fall.:)
Hey AJ!
I know what you mean, and I like looking at this website, too. I wish you good luck with your classes, and good luck not letting "the downpressors" bring you down. Yesterday I went for a walk in the evening, and found myself walking into a hospital and into the ICU on the fourth floor where I approached some nurses, and I got to talk to a nurse who has been doing it for 40 years, her name was Ginny and she was from NY. I just wanted to feel the vibe, you know? I did. She looked like she had a lot of experience and perspective, and she was cool to talk to.
Peace,
Amad
I am taking AP II and Microbiology. Two sciences in one semester. I hope it goes well. Has anyone taken these two at once? If so, how did you do?
I just took those over the summer in the 5 week course and did fine! It's not easy but totally doable. I ended up with an A in A & P II and a B in microbiology. I was on pace to get an A in micro as well, but test anxiety got the best of me and I bombed the final so ended up with a B. Or it could have been that I had 2 finals, 1 lab exam, a test in history and 2 history papers due all on the same day! (I was taking history online as well, in the full 10 week term) Just keep on top of all the studying and you should do fine! I found A & P II to be alot easier than the first one.
I am taking A&P 2 and Nutrition. That should finish me up. I will plan to take Microbiology in the Spring, but that isnt a must to get in. It is a must to finish up with the RN, and I dont want to try to do that at the same time as my nursing classes.
I am soooo glad to be finished with the intense summer semsters. I finished Human Growth and Development with an A. Those 4 week semesters suck. I can only imagine what they will be like once in the nursing program. :trout:
Interm. Algebra for Bio and Math Majors
Geometry refresher class
Stats
Disability and Society
Techniques for Developmental Disabilities
11 units math, and so far stats is my fav. For alg. and geom. I have the same teacher, and he has the tests on the same nights, one right after the other. Had the first two Monday, we'll find out how I did tonight!
