  1. You do not need to wait. I took mine yesterday and as soon as I got home ( hour later) I recieved the pop up message when I tried to register for the test again. I did it about 5 times throughout the day and it never changed. It's definitely a big relief when you have a thousand people saying this worked. I found out this morning that I passed. And it does work!
  2. There is a book that helps with proper delegation and prioritization that has helped me a lot. It's called Prioritization, Delegation Assignment: Practice exercises for Medical-Surgical Nursing and it's by Linda A. LaCharity. I bought the review book for my Med-Surg textbook and the Saunders NCLEX-RN review book. A good review book with Questions & Answers with rationales helped me quite a bit before taking a test. Some of my classmates like to use Kaplan resources and they say the practice questions are a little more challenging. I hope this helps.
  3. I just recieved the schedule for the course and we do get spring break off which begins march 10.
  4. There isn't really one Maricopa College that has a shorter waiting list than the other. When you apply, you are placed in a pool for that specific application week that you turned your application in. Once the application week is up, you are radomly placed in a position out of that pool. Then you will be able to select up to 5 choices of schools you would like to go to. 1 being your first choice, 5 being your last. Right now there are about 1000 people awaiting placement. They just placed Fall 07 and took about 400 people, so that means there is at least a year wait. If you apply now, there will be 1000 people ahead of you. I'm sure after application week there will be at least 1200 waiting which would mean a 3 semester wait. I just found out recently that I'll be waiting until Spring 08. That would make 2 semesters for me. I'm not sure if this is entirely correct but this what I came up with. If anyone else has their ideas on the placement system, feel free to add. Cody
  5. Hi azscot, When you began the reading section, did you first read the passage then read the questions or did you read the questions then the passage? Some say one way works better than the other and I would try both ways on the example tests and time them. What I did was skim over the reading fairly quickly to get an idea of what the passage was about then I went to the questions to answer them. I did have to go back to the passage to find the answers but this method seemed to work best for me. I ended up leaving 3 Q's unanswered. From all of the people I've talked to, this was their struggle as well. You are not the only one and I wish you luck on your next test. Don't worry about the set back. I was hoping to get into the program this semester and I found out today that I will be waiting again. I reccommend taking the test more than 90 days before application due date because if you fail it, you can wait 90 days and retake it before the deadline. Don't give up on yourself and stay motivated. Best of luck, Cody
  6. I went to the school testing center to schedule an appointment. They did not have set dates and times.
  7. I am taking AP II and Microbiology. Two sciences in one semester. I hope it goes well. Has anyone taken these two at once? If so, how did you do?
