Hello,
I'm in A & P II right now and will be taking Micro next semester. I would like to go ahead and purchase a good medical dictionary - one I can use now and perhaps once I'm in nursing school. Any recommendations?

Mosbey's Dictionary of Medicine, Nursing & Health Professions.
I have the 7th Edition.
The dictionary was recommended to me by my A&P teacher and I love it.
It has great pictures, too.

My favorite is Taber's Cyclopedic Medical Dictionary.
It was required for my program, and I use it a lot.

I bought a Taber's last year just for fun even though it wasn't a requisite but they recommended Mosby's this year. I must admit to liking it better because it is bigger and easier to see the pics and just has a nicer feel .. well I really haven't used Taber's much but I'm sure it's good too. LOL I think you can't go too far wrong with either of them for what I gather.

MOSBYS! we were given a choice of mosby or tabers but the bookstore only stocked tabers so everyone bought that one. A book rep came by to talk to us and showed us the Mosbys dictionary and it knocked my socks off. The pictures are wonderful! I am buying one next term with a bit of my student loan money if I have enough left over.

Taber's Cyclopedic Medical Dictionary is what I use. I have no experience with Mosby's so I can't compare. I might pick up Mosby's next semester, it doesn't hurt to have a couple I guess.
I, too, am gonna have to pick up a Mosby's to check it out.
