Just thought I'd start a thread about the classes all of us will be taking this Fall... maybe we can start our sticky support groups early. Lol... j/k. I am really excited though.:w00t:
I am taking:
Freshmen Writing Composition (aka: Writing for Special Topics)
College Algbra:stone
Biological Science I w/ lab:roll
Introduction to Sociology:yeah:
How about you?
I'm taking 5 classes this semester so that I can apply to the nursing program this spring.
A&P I
Intro to College Math
Developmental Psy
Intro to Microcomputers (should be an easy A!)
College success skills ( I think if you are over a certain age this should be exempted but it should be a easy A!)
Whats up everybody?I have a B.S. In network communications management. So most of my prereqs are completed except for the sciences. What do you guys think of taking Anatomy and Microbiology at the same time?
Am I stretching myself too thin with this schedule. These are the only 2 classes i am taking for the fall.
My lab partner in Anatomy was doing this, and she did fine. She also said Microbiology was easier than Anatomy, so I'm hoping she's right -- I'm taking Microbiology this semester!
i am taking anatomy for sure and chemistry if there's a spot available when my registration date arrives in a week or so. after that i'll just need physiology and microbiology to apply to the programs in my area.
i'm excited to get on with it so i can apply already! best of luck to all of us this semester!
by the time my registration period arrived all my classes filled up. i kept my eye on the website for a few days and eventually got the classes i needed.
i added medical terminology to my schedule as it is a prereq for a phlebotomy course i'm taking next summer, so my new schedule is:
anatomy
chemistry
med terminology
i decided to get a temporary job on campus at the bookstore for the discount on books. adding the extra class cost another $150 in books!
classes start aug 20th. i'm sooo ready to get going!
So...I mentioned before that I was taking A&P and Developmental Psych (Psych will be online)...now people are encouraging me to take Micro in place of Psych. I have 2 kids and a FT job though...I am not willing to sacrafice any more EVENINGS away from the family, Mon/Wed til 2130 is enough.
My plan was to finish up A&P and Psych this semester, then take Micro in spring, which will still allow me to apply for the fall RN program due to my last pre-req being "in progress". What do you think? I don't want to rush and fail, and lose GPA points, nor do I want to be away from the family too much. *sigh* registration is almost here!!
