Believe me when I tell you that I have not seen other students with the same complaint as your kid! I am not trying to hide anything, and I don't care if "that's not what you heard." Because that's not what I did. Believe me that I'm not trying to cover up if the school is making your kid sick. If the school has something wrong with it, I don't want to be here either! If there are multiple kids exhibiting the same issues, they should come to me, and please tell your kid to tell them to actually come to me!
But no, I am not lying when I said I didn't see them. And... and... if I did see them, I couldn't tell you anyway because you're not their parent or guardian!
People... seriously!
I think this must be related to the general craziness that's going on everywhere at this point.
It a big school nurse conspiracy. That's how we keep our jobs...bring all the sick kids in and let them fester.A mom has sent her LD to school every day this week with a fever. And every day I have to send her home. Mom hung up on me today when I told her she needed to come pick the kid up. Not my fault lady!
Mom should be more worried why her LD has a fever so many days in a row and take her to the doctor instead of trying to take her to school.
Literally what are parents thinking - Just had a child with an obvious broken wrist - painful. Helping out, our secretary called mom, dad, grandparent since the responsible ones were not answering call. Mom told her 'I need to jump in the shower first', secretary emphasized she should come right away as her child is in pain. Parents of the year arrive dad barely says boo to the child, crying in the wheelchair, and says 'I want to speak with the person that spoke with my wife.' I immediately assess this will not be good and wheel student out of the office.
He proceeded to berate the secretary for how/what she said to his wife. BTW they are divorcing and he lives in Florida. We have the sweetest most thoughtful secretary I could ask for, she left early in tears.
I'm an elementary teacher looking to switch to nursing. I love our school nurse! Her stories are just as crazy as our classroom teacher stories! I had a kiddo who wasn't allowed back to school until he had the proper vaccinations. The mom dropped him off at school anyway, and our nurse kept calling her and the grandmother to come pick up the student. Finally the mom blocked the school number! The poor kiddo had to stay in the nurses office the entire day

What's wrong with me? I'm a parent.
