Interestng that the only example they can cite as an example of Republicans’ commitment to civil rights for anyone but themselves happened over 150 years ago.

And yet, the civil rights legislation passed and has been a thorn in the side of right wing extremists ever since.
Interesting, too, that you are willing to assert that the legislation was passed to address racist fears.
