Written in 1956 to appease the southern racists later claimed by the Republican Party.

Nice try but no.  Racists stayed with the Democrat party with the old wink and a nod.  https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2022/07/31/san-francisco-supervisor-president-uses-n-word-against-security-guard/

No question that democrats can be and are racists. See my edit, above.

Interesting that you keep citing one of the main propositions of CRT to support your implication that democrats are just as bad as republicans on civil rights.

And how does any of that prove that Republican have any commitment to civil rights for anyone but themselves, which was actually my initial assertion?

What civil rights are they(Republicans) trying to create for themselves but not other? Is this in reference of Roe being overturned?

I’m referring primarily to their efforts to block civil rights, among other benefits, to others in general, not just Roe.

I could look it up but what civil rights are they blocking?

I wasn’t referencing civil rights only, but Google voting rights, to start.

Then move on to gay marriage (equal protection of the law), anything related to transgendered people (ditto, plus the right to control one’s own body) and move into climate denialism (in loyal obedience to the hydrocarbon industries). While you’re at it, you could also investigate Christian nationalism (Republicans all and dating back to appropriating the religious right vote, which seeks the violation of the first amendment guaranteeing religious liberty) as well as the recent legislative coup blocking healthcare benefits for veterans affected by burn pits. Then there’s the trump tax cuts, benefitting business (long-time Republican constituency) and highest income individuals (ditto). Anti-Union legislation and propaganda. Basically anything that hurts poor, working and middle-class people has powerful Republican backing.

Glad somebody on your side finally admitted what we all knew about Democrats.  But you think Republicans only want civil rights for themselves?  That doesn't even make sense.

None of this gibberish you posted has anything to do with racism or civil rights and most of it is just your opinion.  I will add women gave up the right to control their body with Covid vaccines.  The rest of your nonsense post is just that.

The short form: “All animals are equal. Some animals are more equal than others.” (George Orwell, Animal Farm). Not a surprise that you don’t understand that … right-wing doublethink has been firmly enforced by their media for decades.

In other words, you cannot point to a single instance when republicans advocate for the benefit  anyone but right wing religious extremists, big business and white upper class republicans. QED

So much for “the party of Lincoln”.

I am well aware of the Republican Party agenda. It benefits no one but themselves. As I said, QED.
