I was curious but the good news is abortions have been on the decline in recent years, but it seems a lot.

While I would agree it's a woman's job to protect herself from unwanted pregnancy, irresponsible male ejaculation is the man's fault as well.

But the male doesn't have to deal with the stigma/ mental processing of abortion.  And in the case of the vast amount of single moms in this country the sperm donor abdicates that responsibility onto the mothers as well.

Seems to me you are the one being the jerk on here not me.   No abortion doesn't require the expertise of healthy professionals.

No one called you a jerk. I said that it was ignorant to claim that abortion isn’t health care. Now I’m adding that claiming that the expertise of health professionals is unnecessary in cases of abortion is also an ignorant statement.

There is really is little excuse for an unwanted pregnancy these days with the ready availability of birth control for both sexes.  Sure your going to have outliers like rape, and incest.  Everything affects the poor in this country.  Bailing out student loans will hurt the poor the most.  Inflation hurts the poor the most.  Rising interest rates will hurt the poor the most.

It sounds like you are unaware that birth control is also not favored by many Republican legislators. https://www.washingtonpost.com/outlook/2022/03/25/abortion-opponents-are-gunning-contraception-too/
Maybe you forgot that Governor Abbott simply implied that they would simply end rape in Texas rather than considering rape in their controversial abortion laws.

calling someone ignorant or a troll is being a jerk.

Should it be regulated like guns because it is a public health issue?  Words hurt people.  People commit suicide and homicide because of words.  Words can be triggering and cause depression and anxiety in people.  That's a public health issue.

Guns are pretty haphazardly regulated in many states. People often complete suicide using firearms, which too often don’t even belong to them…they belong to parents or friends or spouses.
We are aware that words can incite some reprehensible behavior, there was an excellent example of that on 010621, remember?

Is birth control not available in every state in this country?  That's not what exactly what Governor Abbot said.

So what?  It's a constitutional amendment,  which trump (no pun intended) any laws passed through Congress.  You mean the non violent unarmed protest at the Capitol where the only person killed was an unarmed civilian by a police officer?  Yeah we remember.

99% of the people there might have been in peaceful protest, but to call it what you did above is not based in reality.  No need to discuss it because I understand when to choose my discussions, but I just wanted to highlight it.

I didn’t call you ignorant or a jerk. I said that the remark reflected ignorance OR was intentionally inflammatory in word choice. All health professionals understand that 1) medical abortion is reproductive healthcare and, 2) the procedure requires the presence of an appropriately licensed health professional in all states. Yet you are claiming something different.

No, you’re talking about a different event. I’m talking about the attempt to change the electoral college vote by disrupting the function of congress using violent and illegal behavior, all because of Republican lies about election integrity. That occurred on 010621. You’ve clearly confused some details about what happened that day. The person shot and killed that day was warned not to advance through the barricaded door. She broke the law to be in the wrong place at the wrong time and you make it sound like she was a victim. You must not be an advocate for law and order, eh?

All health professionals do not agree an abortion is health care.  You should know better than make that claim.  Abortifacients do not require a skilled health care to administer and can be over the counter or prescribed by telemedicine.  Seriously, quit while your behind.

I notice liberals love law and order when it goes there way.  But when something doesn't its time to burn the institution to the ground.   You mean law and order that was utilized in Portland and Seattle?  Law and order that tried to entrap some impressionable people in Michigan?  Or law and order  that tired to imprison a young man in Wisconsin for protecting himself?  Law and order that gave no bail to a dangerous Black racist lunatic that ran down and killed bunch of white people in a Wisconsin parade?  That law and order you are referring to?
