Sez you.  We have to do the best we can with what we have and try to detect bias in everything we read - including both sides.  Race did have something to do with race since the riots weren't started over cupcakes.  We can't just ignore the entire sequence of events since the cause is part of the story.

Flat out, Rittenhouse showed up to a protest like an idiot with a gun. BUT then some dumbasses decided to bum rush him and guess what, they got shot.

Both sides are liable and both sides were negligent.  It was a CHAOTIC scene if you deep dive into it and honestly am shocked more people are not dead.  Rittenhouse should be held accountable for something though.  And I agree that RACE should be held out of the discussion.  This is a trial about a shooting in which all parties are of the same race...

Case in point, the Rittenhouse trial.  The trial will end any moment now, all the witnesses have been called, testimonies given, and every detail of that fateful night have all been shown.  WHY ON EARTH (and I'll pick on the LEFT first) are newsrooms, liberal leaders still DISTORTING actual facts of the case??? And yes, I know why but it's alllllllll so infuriating....

What distortions are you referencing? There's a thread about the evidence and testimony of this trial. There's always inaccuracies and issues with bias when people look to commentators and pundits for opinions on charged topics.

I didn't go far back in reading this thread but what I found that was racially related was the discussion about CRT but didn't find anything linking race to the Rittenhouse shooting.  I will agree that race has nothing to do with this particular crime  except  his crime never would have happened if an officer didn't shoot a man in the back.  But you are correct that the cause of the crime is separate from the consequences of someone else's crime.

Fauci swamped by angry calls over beagle experiments after campaign that included misleading image

https://www.washingtonpost.com/investigations/2021/11/19/fauci-beagle-white-coat-waste/

Quote

Francis Collins, director of the National Institutes of Health and Fauci’s boss, said the vitriol generated by the White Coat Waste campaign reflects the prevalence of misinformation during the pandemic. Health officials have had to beat back bogus claims that masks cause health problems and that vaccines contain microchips for government data collection.
“What’s happening to Dr. Fauci is a very bright, blazing warning sign that we are, as a culture, in a dangerous place, that we have decided that those figures who are highly visible, who are saying things we don’t like, have to be taken down,” Collins said in an interview. “And even more troubling, that that seems to be working. It’s not a fringe activity anymore.”

It increasingly appears that a portion of our society is radicalized and engaged in violent thought and language.  The acts of violence based upon fears and fabrications are about to start increasing, I'm afraid.

You are right but it has been happening for awhile now. So called Anti-facists/anti-racists have been taking the law into their own hands and burning towns, looting stores, destroying property and killing/wounding people in the name of social justice.

People have been doing that since Biblical times.  It is extremely rare and self-limiting.  Maybe I'm wrong and this goes on day after day  where you live, but I haven't heard much since George Floyd's murder or Jacob Blake's shot in the back.   Do you have examples of this happening any time that didn't follow an enormous injustice?  Yes, it's wrong and often the wrong people get hurt but sometimes people just snap.  It would be a better world if we brought back the jobs we sent overseas and people wouldn't have time to create such troubles because they would be too busy making a decent living.

Protest is not the same as threats of violence.  Property damage is not the same as a threat of personal harm. Targeting people like Fauci because of right wing propaganda is not the same as anti fascist or anti racist protest.

I think it was Don Lemon.  Not for sure though, but one of those types had a big discussion about if Rittenhouse was black.

I haven't seen quotes from Biden, but a tweet of his talked about white supremacy with a pic of Rittenhouse.

Does baloney realize the leader of the proud boys is a Afro-Cuban? Proud Boyd are not racist or white supremacist

So...maybe one commentator on a cable network...OK. I've seen some discussion from Rittenhouse supporters wondering if a black shooter would have been treated differently.

Maybe you could link to that Biden tweet please.

If you are wondering about media defaming Rittenhouse as a white supremacists...... bla bla

You realize the leader of the proud boys is a Afro- Cuban right? Or is he the Afro-Cuban face of white supremacy? Canada will assign anything according to the PM who partakes in black face, black entire body and putting a banana in his pant so..... Proud Boys are not white nationalist regardless of what FBI or Canadian law makers say.

So you've done your research and know more than the FBI and Canadian Government.  Cool.
