I think you are missing the point.

The entire family is capitalist bent but represents a state that has lots of poor and underprivileged people which Biden’s plan is perfect for. Yet Manchin is baulking, why?

How about Sinema? Is her state any better?

There was almost an Insurrection and with an atmosphere provided by the republicans of lies and innuendos, Dems need to be lockstep with each other until after the midterms. The Dems are in a boat with many holes plugged by many fingers and removal of just a couple of fingers means everyone dies, literally!

What do you think would have happened to this country if trump had won?

Oh I get it, we have to focus on these two and ignore the others because we need to destroy them and bring them in line before they ruin the country.

Rand Paul and McConnel has the same pedigree...rich and elected by a state that has a lot of poor people.

I don't speculate in fantasy (or nightmare) so I won't answer your question what I think would have happened to this country had Trump won.

A chain is only as strong as its weakest link!

Or, two as in this case!

Big picture, Tweety. This is about the country righting itself.

Republicans aren't interested in policy anymore. It's all about personalities now. They only cater to the wealthy who couldn't care less about the people. Big tobacco, big chemical, big energy, big pharmaceutical, etc etc.

Do you think that Katie Porter or Bernie or AOC, etc can be bribed? We elect officials to represent our needs, not big business!

I really do wish you would provide links sometimes to clarify what you're talking about.

I did hear of the bathroom protest and didn't approve even if it was "peaceful" and not violent.  Bathrooms are not the place.  However, I can't find anywhere people have been defending it as a "peaceful protest", so a link to that would be helpful.  Although it might be true that right wing press and Fox News made a much bigger deal than the mainstream.

As far as the "domestic terrorist" I had to Google what you're talking about.

https://www.usatoday.com/story/opinion/2021/10/07/school-boards-don't-call-fbi/6035611001/

They are saying things like "Biden just called us domestic terrorists" which I don't think is true.  It was the Nations School Board Association that wanted them looked into as such.

I'm sorry I don't post links. I tend to form my opinions from several sources both left and right leaning. I find that if people look for it themselves, it's less bias coming from me. Not to mention some like to clarify anything not of the same opinion as "propaganda".

I don't think that the parents saying"Binden called us domestic terrorist " was literall. It was in reference to using the patriot act and allowing the FBI to investigate parents at school meetings.. By allowing this, figuratively, he was calling them "domestic terrorist ". Not literally.

Do you believe that your comments and posts are without bias or appear less biased because you don't provide supporting links?

I'm not sure, but you seem to describe yourself as a black woman? Correct me if wrong.

You don't seem to realize that old white men and upcoming white men in this country have arranged society to suit their needs and no one else's. Even white women are at a disadvantage. Every aspect of this society is arranged to make life easier for white men. And I should know. I understand my privilege.

However, I believe in competition. Evolution. I'm actually not even sure if I am empathetic re other people struggling, because I actually seem to only experience emotions re children and women. But, I believe in human rights and equality. There's also respect for another person.

Therefore, just using those principles, I believe in a fair and equal society. Let the best, more prepared person progress without extra help or unfairness. This leads to imbalance and the French revolution syndrome. So it's beholden upon us to keep people happy or we may loss our heads!

Happy working people living in a fair system means less crime, more taxes and better benefits. That's the beauty of socialism! Allow capitalists to run alongside, but tax them equally and do not allow them to dictate or manipulate the system and laws. Because in reality, the most successful are generally sociopathic and needs regulation! They have little control of their desires and they are selfish. Betterment of society is not on their lists unless it's beneficial to them. They are also less educated and therefore less likely have the insight to know what's best for society. They can build things for a profit but need guidance and control or they will destroy us!

I appreciate that you understand that, but I even doubt that the one's spewing out that he said this understand that and if they do, someone else is going to say "Biden said....." and it's going to believed that he actually said that.

But that still might be a fair interpretation.   I do think that his administration was only responding to the claim of violence by the NSBA which I can appreciate, rather than blowing them off.  I do think his administration should have rebuked those claims as baseless after investigating it.

But anyway, using this as an example of liberal hypocrisy really isn't a good example.  It was the NSBA not wanting to deal with protests at their meetings and I'm not sure this is a liberal agenda.

I'd like to not pay attention to the nastiness going on a school boards lately but since part of their agenda is to stop inclusiveness, including the LGBTQ standpoint, I'm starting to take notice.

But yes, liberals tend to make a big deal out of certain things and not others.   What is scandalous to the left get's a ho hum from the right and visa versa.

Daily Wire for example has an article about Hunter Biden on their website today.  I understand conservatives think this is important but liberals are ignoring it.

I went for Bernie and not Biden, so I totally agree with you that big business has a stranglehold on our politicians and country and capitalism has run amok and highly favors the ultra-rich.  I've said that over and over on these boards over the years.

I think we've gotten off the path of them representing all of us, but being a capitalist country and the largest economy in the world, big business does need to be considered and not punished or make their jobs more difficult.  There's a balance somewhere.

If big business can't follow the rules then they deserve to be punished, if only for greed.

Personally, if I was a Democratic MP, I would be looking into the businesses or individuals who has it in for Manchin and Sinema  and compiling an opposition fund and then hiring a good agency to find individuals in their past who can derail them. Because believe me, those two have skeletons buried! I'm a total bastard like that.

Then I would twist their arms so far back, they would be crying for mommy! They made the decision, knowing full well what this country has just been through and weathered and the dangers to our way of life. When someone threatens me, you better watch out! Those two ignorant pieces of scum are jeopardizing things to the point that China is now threatening Taiwan because they believe we are so fractured and weak. Both Sinema and Manchin are solely responsible for that! You present a united front in times of crisis, not a broken line that your enemy can exploit!

No one respects the weak or want to do business with them!

After things are sorted out, they can go back to being the shitheads for their constituents that elected them!

I would do opposition research to the point that both sinema and Manchin would only ever respond, "How high?"

The Daily Wire?  Ben Shapiro is warped.  BUT, why are  uber conservatives hooked on the story of a black sheep son who made a heap of bad decisions?  That's just deflecting from the Republican party to have any agenda for going forward except for trashing someone else.  It's so much easier to trash a drug addict than to come up with a proposal to make it better at the southern border.

Small people and small brains can only accommodate small things.

Republicans are only motivated by greed and power because firstly they lack the education to know the world or how interesting it actually is.

They actually think about possessions and purchases and image, etc. Their peanut size brains can't accommodate even simple things like interactions or other human dynamics. It's instinctual and limited to basic concepts. Plus, look at whom they are appealing to?

MMA, Nascar, Rodeo, Catfish noodling audiences! Honestly, am I really generalizing here?

No, you're fantasizing and making things up.

For example, something you made up that isn't true:  Their peanut size brains can't accommodate even simple things like interactions or other human dynamics. It's instinctual and limited to basic concepts.
