Looks like trump picked well with Melania, apparently, she's been likened to Marie Antoinette by her former aide. Her best friend and now her personal aide appear to think she is a cold, calculating, ***! Not my words.

I thought it was evident from day one. If she married him for money, then she was callous and greedy. If it was for love, then her judgment was so off, that she would be essentially dangerous!

Wow.  If my husband was banging a Media star while I was in the hospital having a baby, he would be toast.  Even with a pre-nup, she would have survived comfortable but that wasn't enough.  If you've ever seen the interior of their apartment in Trump Tower, you  recognize the "Marie Antoinette" comparison!  So much gold paint.  But, of course, they can't live there anymore and that makes me smile.

OMG, did anyone see Rudy Guiliani's 9/11 speech?

This dude is around the bend and heading of the cliff at high speed! ?

You have never heard such utter twaddle in your life! Drunk, insane or toxic from the dye, dude is gone ?????

I laughed my *** off!

So another one bites the dust! Bob Enyart a controversial antivaxxer, homophobic, right wing talk radio guy has died from Covid.

I'm telling you that Covid is decimating right wingers, left and right ?? and I'm not sorry. Except for their DNA, I don't see how they contribute, I'm talking about people like Enyart and politicians etc. They have large audiences whom they influence in a myriad of stupidity and we the people have to pay.

The thing is that I bet 90% of republican politicians are vaccinated!

So Norway has joined the rest of Scandinavian countries by going social Democrat and rejection of conservative politics.

Think about it, some of the happiest countries in the world are all social democrats! And I'm pretty sure that ALL OF THE HAPPIEST countries have coalition govts!

We have two parties, essentially one now, republicans doesn't seem to contribute anything much these days except criminality and chaos. And apparently want to embrace monarchy or authoritarianism for a govt model.

How much further can they fall?

The hypocrites at Fox who wouldn't be allowed in the studios unvaxxed have no shame of their history of supporting vaccine hestancy.  So the vaccine is OK for them but not for everyone else.  I can remember Sean Hannity ridiculing the idea that Covid was a problem because it was going to go away.  Moron blowhard.

There's a large supply of those "conservative" voices in right wing media outlets who elevate all manner of concern and question of the vaccines...they pretend that they are just being "fair and balanced". But they are engaged in propaganda...not just information.

They are balancing truth against lies and fears and conspiracy and suspicion.  Everyday the people who want to find an excuse to remain unvaccinated will find sympathy on FOX or in their favorite radio voice or in their social media commentary...they will find that sympathy right here in AN...sympathy for the bad analysis of data, poorly understood science and the choice to remain unvaccinated in absence of contraindication.

Personally I think it's a reflection of character! I find that the majority of republicans that I know just worship power and money and live vicariously through those that have it.

They believe that these people are the Gods that are real and the God of the Bible is a figure that they can choose to ignore or not. It's why they are such hypocrites!

Their weak character defines them in so many ways. It's why they could never understand why Northern European countries could be socialists. It's why they want to control others when their own lives are so ***. They refute education and social graces and are condemned to people like themselves and revel in their shallow pride and suck up the rape and abuse from the people they so admire!

A poll from the beginning of August showed 27% of Fox viewers were unsure of, or didn't want the vaccine.  A bigger number then I'd like, but not huge.

There are other demographics that don't fit into the Fox viewers mold that have similar vax hesitantancy numbers.

I believe most conservatives are anti forced vaccines then anti vaccine.

If you want to see hypocrisy, you can use Google and easily find clips of Biden, Fauci, and others say over and over how a Federal mandate would be a bad idea and would never happen.

So Gavin Newsom stays and the wife beater Elder goes to prepare his defense for the domestic violence charges against him.

Another republican politician with domestic violence charges against him and still women seem unable to see the pattern of these republican politicians and continue to vote for them.

Elder got 30% of the votes despite what an appalling person he is. And as usual republican voters came overwhelmingly from the interior, rural counties. They isolate and brood, subscribe to conspiracies, support exclusion and despise education and science!

"Whites who score high on measures of racial resentment and racial grievance are far more likely to support strict limits on abortion than whites who score low on these measures. This is part of a larger picture in which racial attitudes are increasingly linked with opinions on a wide range of disparate issues including social welfare issues, gun control, immigration and even climate change. The fact that opinions on all of these issues are now closely interconnected and connected with racial attitudes is a key factor in the deep polarization within the electorate that contributes to high levels of straight ticket voting and a declining proportion of swing voters."

Unpack that and you have the essence of republican voters, antivaxxer sentiment and abortion rights and why they do what they do!

What is most interesting about the California recall election was the clear evidence that republicans now consider claims of election fraud as the primary reason their crazy isn't elected.  It's interesting that the claims begin prior to the actual voting...just like it did in 2016 and 2020.  It's interesting that certain people seem inclined to believe these claims no matter the evidence.

What do tyrannts and authoritarians do once they've convinced their people that their votes no longer matter? There are books written on the subject.  We have a few really excellent examples in modern history of what happens when corrupt politicians can control groups with lies.
