What does your screenname mean?

Published

I hope this is a topic which hasn't been posted on before. I did a search for the word screenname and came up with nothing, so let me be the one who starts this one up. How did you come up with your screenname? Is it simply just where you work and/or part of your name, or is there some more creative background to it?

Mine is simple. I'm a psych RN, and 03 is the year I signed up on this board. Normally I try to come up with some creative screennames, but I guess I just wasn't feeling real creative that night.

Now your turn. I'd love to hear from y'all.

EDIT: I found that someone just yesterday responded to this same type of thread started in '01. :o :imbar So feel free to let this thread die a slow agonizing death. Or better yet, endulge me with some responses. :D

Mine is pretty much self explainatory  . I LOVE what I do but it is time (after 24 1/2 years) to move on to something else. I graduate on 17 December, 2004. PARTY at my house on 18 December . Plan on staying in EMS as long as I am physically/mentally able.:rotfl:

First initial and last name - not very imaginative.

Ever since I was little, I was in love with the name Alissa Davenport (My name is Lisa and I think Alissa is so much nicer) but anyways, I like that name and Im a student nurse!

:chuckle

Well, the screen name that I use is 'Eilana'. No specific meaning for me, just something I made up at the time. However, apparently, it is an Australian-name, so if there're any Australian in this post, would someone let me know what it means?

I am a proud US Navy Vet, hence the name

I'm so boring. :o Mine is my nickname.

Specializes in M/S, Onc, PCU, ER, ICU, Nsg Sup., Neuro.

Mine is where I live/work, what I do(ER) and of course my status as a male. Initially when I came up with my name I was fairly new to computers and had passwords for this, that, and the other thing so it sometimes got confusing remembering what name I assigned to what. My name was an easy to remember and have used for a little over the past 4 yrs since i have moved to the great Hurricane state of Florida..... :chuckle
