I hope this is a topic which hasn't been posted on before. I did a search for the word screenname and came up with nothing, so let me be the one who starts this one up. How did you come up with your screenname? Is it simply just where you work and/or part of your name, or is there some more creative background to it?
Mine is simple. I'm a psych RN, and 03 is the year I signed up on this board. Normally I try to come up with some creative screennames, but I guess I just wasn't feeling real creative that night.
Now your turn. I'd love to hear from y'all.

My name means "firefly" in french. Many moons ago I studied French and I love fireflies (I think they're just about the neatest, prettiest, coolest thing ever on a warm summer evening ).
I use this name often on forums because it is usually not already taken and has some personal significance to me !
Me, too, I love fireflies!!!! I used to catch them when I was a child in Chicago many years ago. A few years ago I went back to Chicago on a visit and I was running all over my uncle's front yard jumping and trying to catch them. He laughed so hard at me and said he had never seen a grown woman go so crazy over a few bugs. Go figure.....Thanks
I have been blessed with a granddaughter, and since she has a nana, I thought mimi would be a good name for me since my mom is grandma and keeps blessing us with her presence on this earth--now a wonderful 83 and one month away from 84. Arizona is where we all live, hence the name.

when i got my first computer i had a dozen screen names and passwords and i when i needed one i would go into a 'senile moment' and couldn't remember the one i needed
now i use this [chatsdale] first part of my last name and my first name [dale]..not very inovative but i least i know who i am [usually]
In nursing school, our instructors required students to use "brains", which is a one page of key notes on all our assigned patients. Common method and term I'm sure! :)
