I hope this is a topic which hasn't been posted on before. I did a search for the word screenname and came up with nothing, so let me be the one who starts this one up. How did you come up with your screenname? Is it simply just where you work and/or part of your name, or is there some more creative background to it?
Mine is simple. I'm a psych RN, and 03 is the year I signed up on this board. Normally I try to come up with some creative screennames, but I guess I just wasn't feeling real creative that night.
Now your turn. I'd love to hear from y'all.
EDIT: I found that someone just yesterday responded to this same type of thread started in '01. :imbar So feel free to let this thread die a slow agonizing death. Or better yet, endulge me with some responses.
I sometimes work with a nurse named Buck. Nurse Buck. That is so freakin' cool! nursemike isn't nearly as nifty, but what can I do? Question mark is because I'm still a student (15 more weeks!) and don't want to jinx myself. There has been a lot of suspense about that question mark, from time to time, and I'm still not taking anything for granted.
RNview....
At the time I made my screen name, I was about to take the NCLEX and I was always visiting the website
vue.com
which kind of gave me an idea .....
Since I was going to join the nurses forum where everybody expresses their point of VIEW freely, I therefore gave myself RNview for a screen name and I'm an RN now.
