I hope this is a topic which hasn't been posted on before. I did a search for the word screenname and came up with nothing, so let me be the one who starts this one up. How did you come up with your screenname? Is it simply just where you work and/or part of your name, or is there some more creative background to it?
Mine is simple. I'm a psych RN, and 03 is the year I signed up on this board. Normally I try to come up with some creative screennames, but I guess I just wasn't feeling real creative that night.
Now your turn. I'd love to hear from y'all.
EDIT: I found that someone just yesterday responded to this same type of thread started in '01. :imbar So feel free to let this thread die a slow agonizing death. Or better yet, endulge me with some responses.
"laparascopic appendectomy"I guess I just like the way the slang version sounds :)
I'm an ex-OR tech & a surgery nerd
Sort of reminds me of "slap happy"! Cute!
I feel badly about the student who goes by the name Sad. If I were an instructor at her/his school I would take that as a mandate to look into what might make a student feel so negative about her educational experience? I hope that feeling will end with graduation.
My name comes from my children's initials...K(athleen), M(atthew), and R(yan) and I am their mom and I was 42 when I first started using that username...hence kmrmom42. I would consider changing it now that my kids are grown and I am not even close to 42 anymore (LOL) but I am sure I would start forgetting what name I had used for what if I started changing it. So I am kmrmom42 for everything!

Here you go! Of course if you searched under "username" instead of "screenname" you would have found it. It was started a couple of years ago, but has been posted on as late as this week! LOLMy name is unimageable because my real username, "Tweety", was taken. Tweety is my pet name that my spouse gave me and calls me because I'm so tweet, I mean sweet. :)
O wow...long live my thread. Hip Hip Hooray. I hadn't had an email since day one (until today) that anyone had posted in here since like the first day I started this thread. I wonder what happened. Anywho...
Tweety, I just went to the link of the earlier thread you posted and saw that the OP of that thread started the thread pretty much exactly as I had. :chuckle Ironic...dontcha think?
To all who posted, thank you for sharing. I enjoyed reading the thoughts of some of the creative minds out there.

I went there too and thought I had made a mistake for a second and was reading your post again!!
I did enjoy this thread, it is fun to see what people think of when pressed to come up with a "nickname" for themselves. Some of us (besides me) are quite creative! :)
