I hope this is a topic which hasn't been posted on before. I did a search for the word screenname and came up with nothing, so let me be the one who starts this one up. How did you come up with your screenname? Is it simply just where you work and/or part of your name, or is there some more creative background to it?
Mine is simple. I'm a psych RN, and 03 is the year I signed up on this board. Normally I try to come up with some creative screennames, but I guess I just wasn't feeling real creative that night.
Now your turn. I'd love to hear from y'all.

Mine is not anything too creative either. The "DR" is my initials and the "2004RN" is the year I became a nurse. That and I just LOVE to see those letters after my name! I am so proud of them!
The Laughing Dog was a bar in Lawernce Kansas, I believe it has been renamed
since, havn't been there in a long time. Lot of good times in Lawernce so I decided to pay tribute to that bar. I was born in 72 so thats how I put that screename together.

ps - i'm a student and think i want to be a psych nurse. psychrn03 and others can you share some of your experiences, likes and dislikes about the job. would you recommend it? thanks
my name is sad because nursing school is not fun or to be happy about. i mean there are exams, and lab skills where everyday is a test if you can do the work. but the most worst thing about nursing school is the stress. i usually stress about failure. you see that is why my name is sad. school is not a happy place to be.

okey dokey, mine's a bit lame, I work with cardiac patients... I precept and do charge which is called the "queen bee" position. Now looking back, queen of hearts would have been cooler.

My name means "firefly" in french. Many moons ago I studied French and I love fireflies (I think they're just about the neatest, prettiest, coolest thing ever on a warm summer evening ).
