Mine is because I'm a veterinary technician and I'm always hairy. Animals shed more when they're stressed.

What does your post name reflect about you?
I'm a dork!!
When it came to picking a screen name it just said "you may choose a name other than your own" so I did not thinking I could choose a name like Aussiegirl/lyrebird/gumtree/koalaKare so I chose "gwenith" which is actually a related name to my real one.
Now I have sort of grown into the name.

Sphinx, because of a lifelong fascination with ancient Egypt, and of course the mysterious Sphinx! It's one of 2 names I use on the net......when I first got my computer, I went by treefrog, but came to associate that with weakness (long story), so changed. At some sites, I am still some variation of treefrog though, as that is what I am known as, and I didn't want to 'start over'. But I feel more like *Sphinx* than anything else!

I use "grapejuice" as all of my computer IDs. When I was first setting up my email account a LONG time ago, I couldnt think of anything creative and I was drinking grape juice at the time, so I just used that...clever, eh?

Mine says what I do. I work as a travel nurse. Was given to me by a trucker on the CB many years ago when he ask where I was coming from when I asked for directions and I told him that I was coming from NJ by way of Virgina to OK. He replyed that I must be one traveling lady and it stuck.

I chose my name for a variety of reasons. I identify with strong women who have defied the odds, and have triumphed. Plus I'm a big Xena fan. Yeah I know.... Second childhood and all that. Plus I'm passionate about fighting for what you believe in.
