I am doing an anonymous study on what nurses are making these days.
From entry level diploma, associates, baccleaureate.
DNSc, FAAN, ANCeF
And any other specialty and surname of nurses that are out there today including nurses that have their MBA's
Please respond briefly with your pay, which state you live in and what type of hospital, doctor's office, nursing home or other area you live in and your specialty.
Thanks for the input!!!!

In mass, as a new grad with an associates my base pay is 27.50 and I get another $7 for nights and $2 on weekends so I make anywhere from $27.50 to $36.50 thats my full time job in the Emergency Room, I also work per diem at a psych place in NH and my base there is $28, $2 for evenings $5.50 for nights, and $3 for weekends so anywehre from $28-$36.50 but thats perdiem so no benefits not bad for fresh out of school

ICU/CCU in Las Cruces, NM. Started in January at 26.47/hr as a full-time, "pay-in-lieu-of benefits" employee, meaning I took the extra $3-$4/hr instead of insurance, annual and sick leave, etc.
The thing that does irk me though, is that if I worked PRN in my same unit, I'd make about $30/hr. We have a LOT of full-time employees who do that, and even though they are the first to have to float to other floors or are more subject to schedule changes or cancellation, they seem to be there on the same basic 80 hour schedule I am. So they get paid $6 an hour more than I do for EXACTLY the same job. Sucks.
