And did you have to treat them?
I am just curious. Your stories always seem to either crack me up or shake my head in amazement.
Thanks for sharing ?
I work in a pediatric ER and I had a parent say to me "this dr was really good. Can we come back to get my son's we check-up?"

A guy who had stomach pain, upon xray we saw 12 oddly shaped things in abd. He then told us he liked to swallow barbie heads cause the hair felt good on the way out and he had obstructed. I swear some people have just lost their minds!

I knew a homeless mentally ill man who would eat Barbie heads. He died 15 years ago.

I had a guy when I worked obs who had stuck a tube into his urethra and sprayed WD-40 down Into it. He also self pierced his nipples during the same session. There were other oddities but those are the parts I remember.
When a nursing home takes a vs, such as a spo2 or bp with a robo nurse, gets a really off reading, freaks out, calls 911 and doc to get em to ER.
Of course, taking the vs more than once or manually would have saved the unneeded visit.
Bp 72/63.... And the 'annoying' pt wants pain meds... Never been able to duplicate that result.

Or in my case the little old lady is sent to the ED from the nursing home for hypotension x 8 hrs, BP 80's/40's on arrival. While she was actually sick, no one at the nursing home had thought to take off her Clonopine patch...
