I did exactly the same thing I sat in my local pub with a lovely steak and a cold Brains bitter and my family around me, after having a really good blast on my motorbike around the fantastic roads in wales thinking life couldn't be much better. I don't think it matters where you are it's what you make of it. I couldn't think of anything worse than moving away from my home. I love the mountains and roads of wales, I love the fact my family are close. Yes there are benefits to moving elsewhere but life is what you make of it.

Me I would miss my whole life if I moved anywhere else

Well all of my living family are with me - you miss the dead where ever you live I have given an honest truth of what I miss as I have the experience to give that truth! Together my husband and I have given 40 years to the NHS- and we do not miss it one little bit- I agree life is what you make it and we are making the best of it for our family.

Thats fair enough Belinda, all of my family are here so moving anywhere would mean leaving them and that would be unbearable. I really am a home bird, I work to live, thats not to say I don't love my job and being a nurse because I do but my life outside work is far more important and many of the things that I do can only be done here.

I have great admiration for those of you that have had the courage to uproot and move I know I couldn't

It takes no more courage to uproot and move than it dose to live life to the full- life deals people different cards the ones I was dealt enabled us to try something new. Of course we miss people but you can sometimes take things and even people for granted when things are close and comfortable- when you move out of your comfort zone relationships are really tested. My family -husband and kids have really had to trust each other -be there for each other hold hands through the scary bits -we have laught a lot too it has been a wounderful experience as a family we have had ups and downs with more to come but it has shown us all that we are abdaptable and made of strong stuff the adventure continues............

Hmmm, after visiting the USA last year, I think I would say I miss the weather in the USA, really good deli breakfasts, nice bagels, hustle and bustle of New York and the 24/7 lifestyle

If I ever left the UK, I would miss my kids and siblings and parents and some of the characters I am lucky to call friends, but I won't miss the weather in the NW (rain, rain and more rain)and I won't miss the shortages in the NHS and the strain and pressure...
