Before you became a nurse, what were you doing/what was your job then? Just curious!

I'm not a nurse, but I am looking into several programs...but just for those who may also be curious about where new students are coming from...
I am a SAHM, have been for about 12 years. I have a background in Graphic Arts, but I had to take care of my dad the last few years of his life, he lived with us and my experience with that sparked my interest in nursing.

Retail, cleaned houses, went to medical assistant school, did that for about 8 years and then went back to school for nursing. I've been an RN for a little over a year now.
