What did you do to help you through these classes?
Also, are you in nursing school now?

If there are extra study sessions available, take advantage of them.
In chemistry, work all the problems in the book, and any that the instructor gives out.
For A&P, I got a 8x10 dry erase board, and one of the anatomy coloring books. Corny, but it worked. I did all the exercises in the book, and used the white board to write my answers. Keep doing them until you get every one correct.
A good study group helps, but make sure the people in it are there to study, not chat.
The first week in A&P I thought I could never remember all that stuff, but don't panic, study regularly, and you'll be fine.
Not in nursing school any longer, as I graduated in Aug 07.
Good luck to you.

I got an A in chem, an A in A&P 1 and a B+ in A&P 2, I can't agree more with the poster above, read your chapter in chem, do all the problems at the end of each chapter, take advantage of any tutoring etc, A & P, study, study, study, I would read a section and try to understand how the organ/system worked, test yourself on anatomy, get a book that lets you label different parts of the body. Most of all relax, do your work and you'll do fine.

A in all the sciences. Loved them and they came naturally to me. Loved A&P I & II, Microbiology and Pathophysiology. Chemistry not so much but got an A anyway. Actually straight A's in all of nursing school. Didn't study much since I had a strong interest in those subjects and they came easily to me.

A in Chemistry (highest in class)
A in Biology (highest in class)
A in Micro
A in Anatomy & Physiology
So what if I am bragging, its my second career and when I took my prereqs I took them with younger students so, as I see it, being older, and then working full time... I was working with half my brain tied behind my back!
You have to look at A&P like you are a carpenter, take things apart and see how they work. Bio was a bear for me but I toughed it out... took it and Micro excellerated in the summers. That was a haul, let me tell you.

flash cards for every bit and byte of information.
straight a's.
A&P is the foundation, get straight now or you will be behind your ENTIRE CAREER. Study every single day, even for a few minutes.
Seeing all you nerds who got it naturally wants me to be like Ogre from the movie "Nerds".

Sometimes profs have old tests on file that they're happy to have you review. When I was in school, both my chemistry and anatomy/physiology profs had old tests on reserve in the library. They were VERY helpful.
