What did you do when you got rejected?

I had imaginary thoughts of suicide lol :lol2:. I know. Suicide isn't funny but I was never thinking of acting on it! Anyways.. What happened when you got rejected from a nursing school you applied to?

I didn't get rejected from any school yet but I assumed I did. lol

If first you don't succeed try try again. It took me 3 times to finally be accepted to an LPN program. Don't take it personally, often there is only so many slots and so many qualified applicants, many qualified applicants get rejected ): I will be applying to an RN program next year, so I will be praying that I get in next year!!!

Apply again to the same school and maybe some others, keep going, don't give up!!!

Financial aid only requires you take 12 credit hours, but I know what you mean. I have a scholarship and taking 3 bio's at a time is much harder than 1 class per term like most do.

No, I know - unfortunately, my FA is running out very, very soon so I have to squeeze everything in because there's no way in heck I'd be able to pay for any of it out of pocket.

Don't waste time crying, it's not the end of the world. If you fall down, get up, dust yourself off and get back on the bicycle. Eventually you WILL get what you want if you really want it. Like I said in a prior post, I'm on a waitlist right now and I will act accordingly once the final decision comes. If something is meant to be, it will happen at the right time!

It is possible, do your best to crack the code for what's on the test for the A. That's all that matters when you're in survival mode. It sucks taking anything over because of a useless B+. My boyfriend went to med school and he said he did 18-20 credits all the time in undergrad. Triple major before med school. Sheer insanity, no life, super smart. I don't think I could do it.

A&P are my weakest grades - both B- in this case. I've got a B+ and three As in the rest of my classes. I'm hoping to rock the last exam and the final in order to pull them up. =/ I'm terrified. :uhoh3:

Luckily some schools don't consider minus or plus so a B is a B. I have 1 A - 2 B's in AP I-III. Not happy but there is always next year. I went gung ho on the extras for points. Rest are A's if not A+s. Unfortunately, +'s don't count, wish they did!

the west coast sucks. yes, ap i-iii, nutrition, med. term., develop. psych., diversity, microbio., cell bio., chemistry, college algebra, 2 english courses, 2 "other" social sciences. and it helps to have a prior degree - that's what it takes to get into a adn program out here. i think a lot of people not getting into med/grad school from u of oregon apply too.

in michigan where i am from, for one adn program i looked up, all you need is english, biology, 1 term of ap. insane right?

this is just to apply competitively of course, not the requir. for the degree over all (in mi you still need more classes for your degree but you can do them later)...you can apply w/ less, but you probably will have a hard time getting in then.

I got rejected for the spring2010 semester for an ADN program. Yeah I got a little angry at first but then I realized it was ment to be because I dont even want an ADN seeing as I want to go to grad school in the shortest amount of time possible...If its ment to be it will happen :)

Thirty years ago, when things weren't nearly as competitive as they are now, I applied and was rejected by a 3 year diploma program in OH. the reason for the rejection: My weight did not correlate to my height!!!! I wasn't overweight...I was undertall!! :lol2:

Many nursing schools reject applicants the first year they apply. Typically the second year they get in. If you got rejected, just take more classes that can prepare you, and start taking classes toward your bachelor's degree in nursing. It's NOT the end of the world if you do get rejected, just a new starting point.:)
