As I'm reading through other posts, I see many people mention that they have degrees in something other than nursing. So I'm curious...what are your other degrees in?
I have a bachelor's degree in elementary education, and I'm now going for my ADN! I'll be done May 2013.
I seriously thought about transferring to a school that had this major... I ended up staying with Art History, which was no more useful once I graduated :) I loved studying culture but now it's on to something I can actually see myself doing every single day!
exactly! I liked my classes but wouldn't say that I was interesting in finding a job in that field. My sister got lucky and found something related but still, I would never want her job. I'm so happy this idea of nursing came to us!
B.A. in Economic Geography (1996). Should graduate with a B.S.N. in May 2012.
Just curious to those that already have a 4-year degree and seek an A.D.N vs. BSN. My course of study would have been 2.5 years either way since some of my classes were out of date, so I chose the B.S.N. in order to be able to further my education later if I chose that path. Why choose the ADN?
B.S. and M.S. in Molecular and Cell Biology. On track for ADN May 2012.
For the person that asked why ADN rather than BSN? For me it was money and time. I'm able to work full time during my ADN program, couldn't do that with BSN programs around here. I can get the RN-BSN all on-line, or I can bridge to an RN-MSN because I've already got a B.S.
