What should I do to get ready for Nursing School starting this Fall?
NOTHING. You'll learn it in nursing school. Relax, read a good book, watch movies all day, spend time with loved ones, indulge in whatever guilty pleasures you may have -- because you won't have time once you're in school.

NIGHT SHIFT CENTRAL!
56 hours in a pay period of 2 weeks is actually on the low end; and this is assuming they're 8 hour shifts.

How long did it take you to land your first job?
I'm a new grad RN also, and got a job offer a week and a half after passing NCLEX.

NCLEX Advice
My school also uses ATI and I had a 98% predicted odds of passing on the first try - also took it today and will know official results in 2 days but I'm pretty sure I passed at 75 questions, too. I used the ATI books and the big yellow saunders review book.

How long are patients NPO after surgery
Also think about what assessment findings you'd need before advancing the diet....bowel sounds, no nausea/vomiting, awake enough to avoid aspirating, etc.

Elderly post-op delirium/disorientation
Also remember that delirium is temporary and shouldn't be confused with general confusion that can happen from pain meds or anesthesia. Think infection...

Depends on the company. One I'm looking at will hire non CNAs with a pay decrease. Although I'd assume they prefer certified people. But who knows?

Share- yes, drop the math class. Sasafras- unless someone unexpectedly has to drop out before fall, the ccc class is set. Orientation was the 15th.
