  1. Did you try the pearsonvue pop up trick? Google it. :)
  2. NOTHING. You'll learn it in nursing school. Relax, read a good book, watch movies all day, spend time with loved ones, indulge in whatever guilty pleasures you may have -- because you won't have time once you're in school.
  3. 56 hours in a pay period of 2 weeks is actually on the low end; and this is assuming they're 8 hour shifts.
  4. I'm a new grad RN also, and got a job offer a week and a half after passing NCLEX.
  5. My school also uses ATI and I had a 98% predicted odds of passing on the first try - also took it today and will know official results in 2 days but I'm pretty sure I passed at 75 questions, too. I used the ATI books and the big yellow saunders review book.
  6. Relax. Seriously. Don't do anything.
  7. Also think about what assessment findings you'd need before advancing the diet....bowel sounds, no nausea/vomiting, awake enough to avoid aspirating, etc.
  8. Also remember that delirium is temporary and shouldn't be confused with general confusion that can happen from pain meds or anesthesia. Think infection...
  9. No way of knowing until you hear from them, I'm afraid...
  10. Depends on the company. One I'm looking at will hire non CNAs with a pay decrease. Although I'd assume they prefer certified people. But who knows?
  11. Thanks for the input, all!
  12. Ej, have you felt uncomfortable in a home before? Any specifics you can share? I think that's what I'm unsure about.
  13. Share- yes, drop the math class. Sasafras- unless someone unexpectedly has to drop out before fall, the ccc class is set. Orientation was the 15th.
  14. Thanks for your input! That's what I was thinking, too. Any downsides?
  15. What's everyone think about it? Pros and cons? Thanks!
  16. It's likely you don't need it if you've already taken stats.
  17. I don't think that dogging on the poster is useful here. I think the point is to give information on a program, not to outline what does or does not make a good friend. The poster isn't responsible for her friend's educational experience. Only her friend is....let's keep it relevant and respectful, eh?
  18. CCC cost per credit is about $75, I think. It's cheaper than PCC.
  19. CCC does group interviews and the panel is made up of instructors. There's also an essay portion at the time of the interview.
  20. Oh, snap!
  21. I've heard this from more than the one current student, too.
  22. Pcc's current 1st year class is down about 30 people from what they started with. They have a reputation of weeding people out. Do with that info what you want.
