Just thought it might be nice to have people to chat with over the course of this semester!

I'm taking:

A&P I

Statistics

Speech

Nutrition

School starts for me tomorrow!

I scheduled a TEAS test date the week after my finals. Bit nervous, it's probably to earlier, but I am taking the second to last TEAS test. I am hoping they have a late January test date just in case I want to retake it before the February deadline for the program interested. Glad I held off taking the TEAS in December then originally planned to in September. Feell taking AP1 and Chem helps for the test.

71 on my 2nd Chem exam on nomenclatures, balanced equations, ionic solutions, and so forth. Last 3 weeks of Chem have been a nightmare. Found Chem east but the Organic Chem is 10x harder than Inorganic. I can't imagine if not getting in to the CC next year I'll have to take Organic Chem for another program.

Oh no! I'm able to take either Gen Chem II or Organic Chem I, and I was leaning towards Organic Chem. Should I not?

I just got home from A&P Lecture. This makes me sound like a dork, but I have to say I LOVE learning. When you learn a concept, then a different one, and then they finally come together and everything's clear. I just love that "click". It's the best.

I like AP. I am bummed my GPA is destroyed due to my inability to use a microscope.

It's an Intro Chem. First 5 chapters were great in regarda to Density, Volume, Metric System, Periodic Table, and now on Moles.

If I get a C in Intro Chem I probably won't get into the Nursing Program at the CC. So I'll have to take a Pre-Calc class and a Chem class dreading the thought of that ha!

I am loving learning too! I am a completely different student than I was 20 years ago. Never thought I would love school this much! Feels so good to use this old brain :)

Hey Guys! I am taking A&P 1 as well. I just had the bone practical last week and I got a 90. Not as high as I would have liked it to be but I know I can study harder this time around for the muscles and do better.

You know I always thought that I couldn't use a microscope but when it finally clicked in A&P Lab and I realized that anyone can do it! Just use the coorifice adjustment knob before the fine one! Sometimes the fine adjustment knob isn't even necessary and you can increase the magnification and it will still look great.

Instructor gave us an idea on our last exams. Appendicular Skelton, Muscles, Bone Practical, and the Final. Possibly Nerves. 10 exams, technically 9 but the final is weighted as 2 exams. The final can save my GPA or destroy it. It's 100 questions from the previous 7 exams.

Have Thursday days off and a 4 day weekend so going to start prepping for the Apendicular Exam. Pointing them out I find easier, but have to work on terms. So hopefully can get am outline done, write definitions up, and study off of that. Monday we get the questions of the exam and finish the Apendicular Skelton.

If I can somehow pull a 90 or higher on the App exam, Bone Practical, and Final I think I'll break down in tears ha.

Spelling quiz in A&P today over those intimidating muscle names! It's extra credit though, so I'm prepared, but not stressed.

Nutrition journal review due tomorrow. Stats test on Thursday. Speech quiz on Friday.

Two A&P tests next week - lecture on Monday, lab on Wednesday.

I checked my schedule today and saw that after next week's test, we get to dissect sheep brains! And the following week we do eyeballs. What dissection do you guys get to do?

I don't think we do a dissection until AP2 think it's a cat. Not looking forward to that.

In my class we only dissect sheep brains and eyes :/ I wish there was more but it was fun!
