Published

Just thought it might be nice to have people to chat with over the course of this semester!

I'm taking:

A&P I

Statistics

Speech

Nutrition

School starts for me tomorrow!

Specializes in ICU Stepdown.
After the lecture we had, I feel like it's going to be much, much easier than the skeletal system for me, which is a relief!

My skeletal system lab exam got me a 75 - ouch.

Nutrition test tomorrow, and two quizzes and I'll be done for the week. Woot.

Good luck :)

I am taking A&P I. I study about 2 hours per day, more when an exam or quiz is scheduled.

Got a 97 on the first lecture exam (woohoo!) but I have the first lab exam next week and the next lecture exam the week after. Just finished the muscles lecture...yikes. Hope I can keep it up!

I am sorry to say this, but reading all of your comments about going thru A&P, I am so glad that I am done with them. I remember studying so much for each of my A&P classes (and microbiology class also) that I didnt have a life outside of work and school. My family had to pick up most of the slack around the house. I consider that a practice run for them for when I get into nursing school!

I finished my Intro to Ethics class tonight (I did it in a 8 week session) so all I have left for this semester is Chemistry.

I was supposed to be starting an 8 week Medical Terminology course starting next Monday, but got an email that they will probably be cancelling the class because something happened and the teacher dropped out. They may find another instructor in time, but that got me thinking that since I really dont need the course, that I may drop it anyways and do an independent study of the course.

I took the Muscular System test today and just got my results. Scored a 96.93%:whistling:. Waking up at 3.00am paid off.

I do not like the T/F questions :sour: and I have noted in every test there is 13 T/F questions . Next test is on Wednesday.... Central Nervous System. I have 4 days to read the chapter and get ready for the test......ouch!!

Thank you.

The class is super fast paced. All the chapters, we have four days to go through them, lab on the third day and a test on the fifth day.

Specializes in Postpartum.

A&P 1

Pre calc with Trig

US History

English

I hope you all have a great week!

Specializes in Emergency.

I have my first exam Friday. My lab practical last Wednesday was a huge wake up call! I've spent many more hours studying and hope to do well on the first exam. I haven't received my practical score yet, but I know I didn't do as well as I'd like. I've told my family if I'm not working, I'm studying until.... March, basically. Next term is A&P 2 and Micro.

I have a 99.33 in English 101 and plan to maintain that :)

Going to be a stressful weekend. First half of the week was doing Chem hwork (Sat./Sun.) Then Monday/Tuesday was studying for Chem test today. Tomorrow Chem hwork/Lab prep & Prep my study outline for A&P. Then Friday study for A&P and Saturday.

I am working days Friday and Eves Saturday so I should be able to get 4 hours of AP Study in. Then a double Sunday, which wasn't too worried because I thought the AP exam was Wednesday. It's not it's Monday on the Skeletal system forgot the name since it's divided into 2. It's the skull, the spine, and rib areas. So probably get up at 4am Sunday study for an hour. Hope to study at work. Get home by 1. Sleep for 2 1/2 hours study for 2 hours them go to class. Then come home study for a Chem quiz that day.

I am still feeling the effects of a cold from Sunday.

:spit:

I probably put in 75 to 80 hours in a span of 2 weeks prepping for an AP exam average about a B+. Not a great scantron multiple choice test person. Like test where you can write down detailed information or work out problems.
