I came across this is little story today, it's not breaking news. I suspect that a member of the housekeeping staff knows something about the bomb threat that required the sweep for weapons.

QuoteAccording to police in Secaucus, the bomb threat — which later was determined to be bogus — was called in to Hudson Regional Hospital on July 18. During a search, bomb detection dogs led investigators to an unlocked office closet containing dozens of firearms.
Among the weapons were 11 handguns and 27 rifles or shotguns, according to police. The closet also contained a .45 caliber semi-automatic rifle with a high-capacity magazine that was determined to be an assault rifle, and a 14-round high-capacity handgun magazine.
The arrested the guy the next day.
What the heck do you think this guy was doing? It sounds very ominous that he was keeping those weapons there.
Just now, Beerman said:Sure they can.
But saying you're not going to watch his show or listen to his music because he had DeSantis on stage, in FL, for a few minutes.
It's just dumb.
I guess that's a generic "you" because I hate country music.
If one of my favorite singers decided to have DeSantis on stage to campaign, I mean to promote hurricane relief awareness, I wouldn't boycott them. I tend to not worry much about a singer's politics if I like their music. But that's just me. I do choose my battles, for example I don't go to Chick Fil A even though their food is good. I allow others their battles without calling them dumb but allow you the right to have that opinion.

Luke Bryan has nothing to worry about the country music fan base includes a lot of conservatives.
Yeah... it seems like much about nothing...but it maybe keeps the voting base riled up.

Not quite. Criticizing politics is one thing.
Cancel culture wants people to pay for their politics. Such as boycotting a TV show because one star had DeSantis on stage.

Dumb like burning your sneakers or destroying your coffee maker because you don't like something the company said or did? Surely you remember the conservative hissy fits over the past decade.

I don't believe in cancel culture. I don't have problem with people paying for their politics. Kathy Griffin paid a huge price for her Trump Derangement Syndrome stunt. (Not that this compares to Luke Bryan) But I can't tell you want to think.
It doesn't work well in Country Music anyway. Country singer Morgan Wallen faced huge backlash for saying the N-word and almost two years later his album is still in the top 5 and one of the biggest hit albums of the 2000's.

Obviously it was a generic "you". I guess you just needed to take the opportunity to tell us how you feel about country music...LOL.
I don't pay much attention to celebrities politics either. I'm smart enough to realize I don't know most of the good, bad, or otherwise about most of them. So, I'll take them for what they are to me...entertainers.
I always appreciate that you give me permission to have my opinion. Or, that you "can't tell me what to think", or "I don't have to like it".
Gee, thanks.

I'm sure it sounds condescending but it is a quiet acknowledgement that I hear you and acknowledge you. But I can't tell you how to interpret it.
Cancel culture got me thinking about the Million Moms and what they are up to. They are Boycotting Scoby Do because one of the characters is a lesbian.
Also some show I never heard of on Disney.
QuoteDue to your massive response, a powerful 1MM petition was sent to The Disney Network, asking them to cancel this spiritually dangerous program, "The Owl House." And your efforts were successful because the demonic show will not return for another season.

Oh yes. The backlash against them was stunning to watch. They really never recovered although the industry gave them a grammy years later for record of the year "Not Ready to Make Nice".
I always admired how they said "well if that's how our fans feel we don't want them for fans" and allowed their careers to burn to the ground.
But words and actions have consequences as they learned the hard way.
