I came across this is little story today, it's not breaking news. I suspect that a member of the housekeeping staff knows something about the bomb threat that required the sweep for weapons.

QuoteAccording to police in Secaucus, the bomb threat — which later was determined to be bogus — was called in to Hudson Regional Hospital on July 18. During a search, bomb detection dogs led investigators to an unlocked office closet containing dozens of firearms.
Among the weapons were 11 handguns and 27 rifles or shotguns, according to police. The closet also contained a .45 caliber semi-automatic rifle with a high-capacity magazine that was determined to be an assault rifle, and a 14-round high-capacity handgun magazine.
The arrested the guy the next day.
What the heck do you think this guy was doing? It sounds very ominous that he was keeping those weapons there.

Will this lead to talk of ousting Johnson?
It's difficult to negotiate with extremists.
No one wants the job so we are stuck with this nut.

And today I see that Mike Gallagher will not be re-running. I can't blame him but this is another jumping off the clown train and will hurt us in the long run. He is a brilliant guy and his ideas are no longer welcome amongst his comrades. Sad.
Inexcusable. Although, I'm sure someone will try.
"The former head of the US Border Patrol said neither President Biden nor Vice President Kamala Harris, who was tapped as the "border czar,” ever met with him during his tenure — as he accused the White House of sending mixed messages over the ongoing migrant crisis.
Raul Ortiz, who served as the US chief of the Border Patrol for two years before retiring last May, slammed leaders in Washington for playing politics over the border during an interview with "60 Minutes" on Sunday, but he took special issue with Biden and Harris.
I've never had one conversation with the president or vice president,” Ortiz revealed"

I'm not certain BIden would have to speak with him if he's speaking with the CBP since the Border Patrol responds to them. Congress is responsible for the immigration laws, not Biden, not the Border Patrol.

Of course. Biden is the POTUS. His number 1 job is the security of our country. No reason for him to speak with the head of 21,000 officers who are charged with the security of our border. 🙄
toomuchbaloney said:You highlighted the former border patrol leader's partisan opinion. He's allowed that opinion. There's nothing particularly new or different about his opinion.
He said he never spoke with Harris or Biden. As a crucial person in enforcing our laws, those who are trusted with administering our laws never so much as picked up the phone to speak with him. That's a partisan opinion to you?

We talk to people, casually, everywhere we go. Just neighborly talk. There's so much crazy stuff to talk about. I had a very good several minute exchange with a young man while getting fuel oil the other day. Busy people often appreciate a heads up about something that they may have missed in the media noise.
