I came across this is little story today, it's not breaking news. I suspect that a member of the housekeeping staff knows something about the bomb threat that required the sweep for weapons.

QuoteAccording to police in Secaucus, the bomb threat — which later was determined to be bogus — was called in to Hudson Regional Hospital on July 18. During a search, bomb detection dogs led investigators to an unlocked office closet containing dozens of firearms.
Among the weapons were 11 handguns and 27 rifles or shotguns, according to police. The closet also contained a .45 caliber semi-automatic rifle with a high-capacity magazine that was determined to be an assault rifle, and a 14-round high-capacity handgun magazine.
The arrested the guy the next day.
What the heck do you think this guy was doing? It sounds very ominous that he was keeping those weapons there.

Don't you think that deep and obvious character flaws, or inability to behave in an ethical or honest fashion are disqualifying? Well that was a silly question, of course you don't those things disqualify Trump you voted for him twice before and will again. Would they disqualify someone else?

Now McCarthy is going to investigate those who would dare to hold Trump accountable. It will be an expensive repeat of the Durham debacle. It appears that Trump is trying to intimidate his critics with mob mentality and McCarthy is going to use the federal government to intimidate them.
Right, what a tangled web. I mean we're investigating the investigators. Now, who's going to investigate the investigators who are investigating the investigation.

What I can't seem to understand about anarchism, socialism, etc. is just how and who is going to be in charge. Some 1/1's is definitely going to be in charge. People claim it's not the same as authoritarian and dictatorship, then what exactly is it? And don't hand me the community owned crap, equal pay, equal lives, etc. People will always have difference of opinion look at this chat.
Don't worry. Most people are happy to be led.

John Barrasso has served Wyoming well. I don't agree with his politics but he comes to mind. He was in orthopedic medicine.

Didn't know anything about him. Appears to be a principled conservative even though I could never vote for him. How does he go to work everyday to work with his peers without principle?
toomuchbaloney said:What a stunning suggestion from a republican member of the House Homeland Security Committee.
"Scorched earth"
She's recommending a scorched earth republican response to the legal processes of law and order. Will other Republicans try to explain that away or will they just ignore it knowing that their voting base doesn't care... if they hear about it at all?
My God!?

So if someone on this forum decides that his neighbor, a Trump supporters is planning to "overthrow the US government" and decided to harm his neighbor, shall all of you be guilty of a crime ? After all its repeated on this site like a fundamental cult over and over.
Are you responsible for the actions of whomever reads your posts and engages in a crime?
Be careful what you wish for.. And just remember, right now, the constitution applies to both Republicans and democrats.
The issue here is if one of us heard their neighbor planning to "overthrow the US govt" like you say. WE would REPORT it. We're not the ones advocating violence, ahem, 'scorched earth',..etc.
We're not the ones who want to harm our neighbor. So now your tricky point is moot.

You obviously haven't listened to many liberals.

Meanwhile, Republicans seem uninterested in holding Trump accountable for his behavior. That makes their talk about law and order or personal responsibility little more than propaganda. At the same time, House Republicans are going to use the federal government to try to chill investigations or indictments of Trump... isn't that an example of "weaponization of government"? It's almost like House Republicans think that if they accuse democrats of the things they are doing no one will figure it out. Well, maybe no one in that right wing echo chamber will figure it out... these threads seem to support that thought.
OH My! Just seeing this..
NO words TMB
@Roitrn ???
toomuchbaloney said:Sure, sure... don't you wonder why Trump didn't investigate and jail Hillary Clinton for those crimes that Trump insisted would LOCK HER UP? It's almost like that was nothing more than right wing rhetoric that leans toward fascist authoritarian thinking... the notion that you'll jail your political opponent even though there's no actual crimes in evidence.
???
toomuchbaloney said:That was a wickedly weird and wordy attempt to defend Trump's tendency to use inflammatory and divisive language to manipulate his cult. We've observed the violent tendencies of Trump's speeches to angry rally goers since 2016. Trump used to encourage his fans to physically abuse those who booed him, he said he would pay their legal fees if they got arrested, remember?
I remember
