I came across this is little story today, it's not breaking news. I suspect that a member of the housekeeping staff knows something about the bomb threat that required the sweep for weapons.

QuoteAccording to police in Secaucus, the bomb threat — which later was determined to be bogus — was called in to Hudson Regional Hospital on July 18. During a search, bomb detection dogs led investigators to an unlocked office closet containing dozens of firearms.
Among the weapons were 11 handguns and 27 rifles or shotguns, according to police. The closet also contained a .45 caliber semi-automatic rifle with a high-capacity magazine that was determined to be an assault rifle, and a 14-round high-capacity handgun magazine.
The arrested the guy the next day.
What the heck do you think this guy was doing? It sounds very ominous that he was keeping those weapons there.

Whatever happened to "show your work"?
They aren't, their investigation is low confidence, but it titilates the conservatives who are invested in that right wing narrative about a lab leak.

The Department of Energy has labs and scientists devoted to researching weapons of mass destruction. I doubt they share with the public much of what they do, but I do find it curious that they would comment on THIS virus as opposed to others they study. Have you ever read The Hot Zone? You might lose a little sleep over it:(

It remains to be determined which came first... there are still no definitive answers.
I only believe that we will probably never know the answer but never knew there was anything called a racoon dog. Scary looking creatures because they appear to be put together by Frankenstein.

Not necessarily "an authority on emerging infectious diseases," but in addition to conducting biological research, their Office of Intelligence and Counterintelligence is one of the agencies under the Director of National Intelligence.

Oh, it probably will. That's what comes from letting stupid people define the debate. It's profoundly to be desired that we'll learn that lesson in time to deal more effectively with the next pandemic. And there WILL be a "next pandemic".

Just wear a mask and take the shot and you won't get the virus. Oh wait never mind.

What a weird message that you are conveying. Do you not understand how vaccines work or are you completely unaware of the actual messaging about vaccination and instead relying upon right wing spin and divisive misinformation?

Let it be ... natural selection is your friend.
