I came across this is little story today, it's not breaking news. I suspect that a member of the housekeeping staff knows something about the bomb threat that required the sweep for weapons.

QuoteAccording to police in Secaucus, the bomb threat — which later was determined to be bogus — was called in to Hudson Regional Hospital on July 18. During a search, bomb detection dogs led investigators to an unlocked office closet containing dozens of firearms.
Among the weapons were 11 handguns and 27 rifles or shotguns, according to police. The closet also contained a .45 caliber semi-automatic rifle with a high-capacity magazine that was determined to be an assault rifle, and a 14-round high-capacity handgun magazine.
The arrested the guy the next day.
What the heck do you think this guy was doing? It sounds very ominous that he was keeping those weapons there.

Someone needs to help them develop their reasoning and thinking skills so that they are less likely to be victimized by the conmen, grifters and charlatans that prosper in our society.
Agreed. It just isn't going to be me.
I'm happy to share the lived experiences that have informed my opinions. Most are not interested, so I state my opinion and its rationale and leave it there.

And yet it's not the liberals on this very thread forwarding the notion that the AG could/should be the wingman (henchman) for the president... they are arguing against that dangerous and un-American idea forwarded by a "conservative".
Isn't that ironic?
Perhaps you should all ask Nursej22 what "it" is. It was this member that said "it". I was unsure of what they were talking about as well.
So go back and read, you will find I was not the member that said "it".
While your at "it". You might wish to relefect on the type of words you use. Many have assumed that I am young and have attempted to insult me by using the word "children". While you self celebrate your obtained virtue of wisdom of racism all the "isms" and "ists" I think you forgot about ageism.
I am glad you have obtained the vast superior wisdom of age. From the Oxford dictionary that I believe is older than all of you.
Quoteage·ism
/ˈājˌiz(ə)m/
noun
prejudice or discrimination on the grounds of a person's age.
"ageism in recruitment is an increasing problem"
It would also seem that with your age you have forgotten to not make assumption of people. None of you know how old I am, what race I am, what gender I identify, my religion or my political affiliation. It's okay though. Some seniors especially over 65 tend to forget things sometimes and struggle with processing and remembering information. Most, certainly not all. It tends to increase after 70. I'll stop at suggesting that perhaps there is some dementia/memory symptoms here because I have no idea of your cognitive status. However your age scientifically puts you at risk. That's a fact. Oh and I do not practice discrimination based on anything, including age.
By all means, continue to debate what "it" is. You know because your vast age has taught you not to care about what "children" think. While you write several posts of what "it" is. However at your ages, I would agree, there isn't much time left to worry about "it" and even less hope in changing your age oblivious bigotry.

Your lived experiences and opinions are not shared universally. Did you forget that?
Your lived experiences should have taught you that calling people names (idiot, children etc) then attempting to put them on your "ignore list", a online way of putting your fingers in your ear and stopping arround saying "I can't hear you, la la la" is ignorant and unbecoming of a person with your "age" and "wisdom". Well child like really. However being a child isn't a bad thing. A child is less likely to hate and be set in their bigotry ways. They have the potential to retain and learn more information that someone who is arround 78 years old?
I'm not a child, I have children and I will do my best to provide them the tools so they do not grow up to be a angry bigot that thinks their age gives them some sort of virtue status. Or their race gender etc. While calling people names and making false promises.
Pretty please!!! Put me on your list!!

Nah... you should just butt out of conversations if you can't be bothered to even attempt understand what the exchange is about at its foundation before you jump in with your opinions about the various remarks. I'm really not interested in more of your circular arguments that lead to nothing but increasingly agitated commenting. Agitated like the comment I just quoted. It crashes from one agitated point to another. All because you wanted to argue about my comments and you didn't even know what my comment was referencing. In my view that's childish. I can live with your retaliatory language about us retirees. It really doesn't reflect upon me at all as I've been a member here for quite awhile and while I may show signs of crabby old man syndrome in my remarks, there's little evidence of cognitive decline or dementia.
If one wants their online presence to be reflective of a thoughtful and well informed adult then one should take care to publish thoughtful and well informed remarks. If one doesn't want to be viewed as childish in their interactions they should take care not to react or respond to other members in a childish manner.

Yikes. What an agitated interpretation of the idea of a person sharing their life experiences in an online forum.
Shared universally?
Why would someone's personal life experiences be universal because they are shared by the individual on an online forum?
Please define "woke".
Children learn from observing and listening to the adults in their early lives... if the adults are bigots the children spend their childhood thinking that bigotry is normal. If the child lives with adults that think that being woke is bad, those children will likely not express the elements of "wokeness" around those adults.

You mean like referring to something posted that you don't agree with right wing talking points? Or people you don't agree with as white nationalists? You talk about people being childish or I'll informed when it's the vast majority of liberals on here that live in a constant echo chamber. You and Nursej22 decry an Attorney General as being the President's wingman, but that is exactly the very words used by Eric Holder to describe his relationship with Obama. Libs on here had no clue about the Wuhan lad leak being called a conspiracy theory. I post a link and you try to deflect about it being Tucker Carlson blah blah blah. Perhaps some of you libs are the ones in the day care here.

Please go back a read again. I made no mention of "woke". Just like I made mo mention of whatever "it" is.
Is this something you wish to converse about? Just post something about "woke" if you want to discuss it.
Slower recall is a normal age related issue but full out delusions is not.
And this person did not share anything. Only that they share their "life experiences". Then goes on to chastise anyone who doesn't share their unspecified "experiences" and promises to put them on their ignore list right after calling someone an idiot.

Or you could have just clarified the statement pertaining to the members patriotism that I asked about? Instead of squawking about whatever "it" is.
However I imagine "you don't play those games", just like you don't watch CNN.

They knew about the lab leak being called a conspiracy.
They will go about with blank faces trying to claim that no one did. Where's as being ignorant is more preferable then owning up to one's comments.
If I had the time, I am sure I could find several members alluding to the idea of a lab leak to a conspiracy or "right wing talking point". Perhaps I will when I'm waiting for a flight.
Or maybe I can find where I ever mentioned the word "woke".

I'm with Heron. If they can't define "it" perhaps it is best just to shoot the conversation. Talking to the unrational is like talking to dead people in my book. Kudos to you for trying.
