I lost my nursing license in 2015 due to school claiming I did not graduate. I had worked for 8 years as a nurse and loved it. And yes I posted things before. I would just like to know if everthing else fails what would be a good medical profession? I pray I will get license back but is has been 3 years. Please no negative commment I have been through heck. My story was on the news 4 so I am not making this up.
Im now assuming there must be more to the story, that we aren't hearing.1. Passed nursing curriculum and NCLEX but failed basic BIO101 not once but twice?
2. Hasnt said anything about retaining counsel.
3. Two years and other than failing bio101 doesnt appear motivated to do much more?
None of this makes sense with an eight year career.
I'm trying to figure out how OP was a nurse for 8 years and this issue has only been a problem during that renewal. Most licenses expire every so many years, never have I heard of so many.

According to the article, it came about when she tried to apply to a BSN program and they discovered, "hey, this chick doesn't have her ADN." Then all hell broke lose from there. Kinda similar to the girl in the news recently who was kidnapped at birth. She would never had known she was kidnapped if she didn't want to learn to drive (needed a birth certificate to apply for her license and the one she had was fake because yadda yadda yadda). And as far as the Bio 101, according to the article, looks like she has only taken it once recently (she didn't take it way back when because it was not a required course then).

I am curious about the OP obtaining legal counsel. I think it's definitely worth fighting.

Oh, I see.
OP says she's taken the Bio twice and failed. I would have refused to take it once via attorney as it wasn't necessary when she graduated. The issue was on the school, not her so I wouldn't do anything other than pay the stupid amount of money, it's super low but I can't remember what it is, and moved on. This is beyond ridiculous. If it happens all the time at this school, maybe the board of nursing is using her as a scapegoat to shame the school. Who knows but it's somebody's life they're playing with.
I was most programs don't require biology. Let's see I had 6 months to take class or I lost my job. No pressure just working 12 hours and driving 2 hours to class. I was a very good nurse helped a lot of people and held a lot of people who were dying. I passed nclex in 30 minutes 1st try never took biology.
Only failed biology once. I am working hard to be a nurse again. My luck has not been to good so I need a back up plan for my sanity. This ruined my life in more ways than one.
It's been two years!
A) Why havent you tried to take it again?
B) Why didnt you get an attorney?
C) Okay you had six months. So what? Its BIO101. It's silly easy.
What arent you telling us? Back up plan? You dont need a backup plan. You need to get off your butt and fix this.
Hello I think you should try to retake biology 101. Email me at [email protected]. I can help you to find a good tutor that will make sure you pass the class thanks.

Apologies, I thought I read you took it twice. I can believe it hurts and it's cause havoc in your life.
Do you have an attorney? If not, why not? If so, I can understand not speaking on your conversation with him because you never know who's lurking online.
At this point, I wouldn't be looking for a backup plan, I'd be speaking with an attorney and looking for a Bio class to get my life back on track. Luck is never good when you're in school. I quit nursing school every day cause of life circumstances but here I am over 10 years later and all the struggle was worth it.

What I see you saying is you fear to fail the class again. Go see a professional counselor to get a little help in putting these things into perspective so you can get along with the rest of your life. Might help to reframe your thinking. Bad luck has absolutely ZERO to do with your situation at this time-in the past? Well you couldn't control what the college did. Now? You are 100% in control of whether or not you pass BIO101. You passed the NCLEX and persevered as a nurse for years, so you do have the ability.
