WGU starting tomorrow!

Nursing Students Western Governors

Updated:   Published

EWB starts tomorrow, and I am fully prepared to knock it out over the next 2 days and get it done.

My goal is to be done with my BSN by Christmas, and I am psyched and ready to go!

Anyone joining me tomorrow? ?

Just an FYI. Go to My Degree Plan and click on any of your courses that are required to complete your degree. It will then bring you to Course of Study which will show the syllabus and Task requirements needed to complete that course. You may not have access to Task Stream to submit your work but you are able to see all course requirements at all times. To have full access to all courses will require that you complete them all in that current term. I started on April 1st and so far I have no complaints.

With all due respect that doesn't help when I want to submit the tasks.

I have already had another meeting with my mentor and we have agreed to do it my way for the time being, but thanks anyway. I've got the access that I need and will be submitting my first TaskStream assignment here within the next hour.

Well I finished my first class, Nutrition, today, and submitted my first nursing assignment via Taskstream.

My goal is to be done by Christmas, so it looks like I am right on schedule.

I'm a little late to the party, but I made it :jester:. I started on 9/1/11 but was a few days late due to the storms out east, and also due to my own stupidity. I think I'm up and going now. EWB done, beginning NUT1 today. Anyone finish it and/or have any advice? Like most here I'm hoping to finish in 1 semester, fingers crossed. Thanks for any help and I look forward to us all making it through.

Superdave, it's super easy. :)

Good luck.

Is all the required reading really necessary? It seems to be a bit much for the project. What do you think?

Thanks even though that is NOT what I wanted to hear. I'm currently enrolled with Chamberlain and doing a nursing course along with Statistics. My advisor said that I will be set for graduation in May of 2012 once I complete the courses as she has arranged them. I guess I will just have to settle for that because I'm NOT a biology person at all and would rather tough out statistics than biology any day. Still, I will wait and see and hope for a different outcome once WGU evaluates my transcripts. Thanks again!

What happened with Chamberlain? (worried as that is my other prospect)

Nothing...just want to be done! offers that opportunity within a matter of 3 or 4 months based on your drive and determination; Chamberlain doesn't. I don't have any problems with Chamberlain...just want school to be over as quickly as possible....it doesn't matter to me where I get the degree as long as I get it....but the faster the better!:D

Are you talking about the Nutrition class? I read all the power point "lecture notes" for each chapter, then took the test and passed with an 87%.

No, it's Nursing Informatics.

No, it's Nursing Informatics.

Nursing Informatics I found to be extremely easy.

I am still waiting to hear back on my grades, and I submitted 4 days ago, so the wait is a bit trying.

Hopefully I will hear something tomorrow by the latest.

I finished Nutrition and Nursing Informatics, and I got started September 1.

I ordered my LabPak for A&P, since they are requiring I do a lab, and I will focus solely on that once it gets here.

I am currently working on an essay for Professional Roles and Values. A bit more to do in this, but it's nothing terrible. I don't mind writing papers.

How does financial aid work with this program, I have funds for January because I am currently using my fall funds with another school. Will they make me wait until January to start or longer? Any info is appreciated.
