WGU starting tomorrow!

EWB starts tomorrow, and I am fully prepared to knock it out over the next 2 days and get it done.

My goal is to be done with my BSN by Christmas, and I am psyched and ready to go!

Anyone joining me tomorrow? ?

Just a word to the wise- I would NOT go on other people's transcript reviews to judge what you may or may not have to take. Such as the following: I did not have to take stats, but do have to take Biochem and Nutrition. I was not expecting to have to re-take A&P and Micro, and now have to take labs for them.

Be very careful when "assuming" what you may or may not have to take. I had to learn the hard way!

Of course you check because each individual case is different...but other peoples reviews can give you and idea if they have the same kind of degree as you!

I will have to look into this because I was pretty angry when she did this to me.

My advisor told me that ALL classes could be opened for me, and I could work on them at my own pace....

I will definitely be contacting the school about this on Tuesday.

This is one of my fears- that they will propose a course of study then change up on me after I register and pay.

They didn't change my course of study- she is just refusing to give me access to all of my classes now. Huge difference.

Of course you check because each individual case is different...but other peoples reviews can give you and idea if they have the same kind of degree as you!

Just because they have the same kind of degree as you do does not mean that you can compare and contrast. Where and when you went to school are two huge factors.

Technically speaking people can compare and contrast whatever they wish...now weather or not it is accurate is a whole other story! All I'm saying is that I know that someone with a AAS is most likely going to have to take more than the 8 core classes...so seeing what other people may have to take / are taking can give me a better idea of what I MAY have to take. Still again as I said before of course you would check based off of your own transcripts and classes because each individual case/person and the academic records is different leading up to what classes they have to take @ WGU! Just because some says the they would most likely have to take the same thing doesn't mean that they are going to take that to the bank and run with...I'm just weighing my POSSIBLE OPTIONS dear!!!! :-)

Not trying to dissuade you. I have just seen some people here compare apples and oranges and then get ticked when their apple doesn't match the other person's orange. It can certainly give you an idea, but it's not going to be the gospel.

Whatever you do, do NOT complain about your mentor to anyone.

Just don't do it. Even if they are not what you need or want, don't do it. You will be harshly reprimanded for it.

Hmmmm. So if I were to say "Please WGU, please finish my transcript eval so that I can begin my courses", someone would hear me? It's been almost 3 months already! :o

No, an email that I sent questioning my mentor and the course of program because I did not agree with it. I was basically told to not question or discuss my mentor on the discussion boards, Facebook, etc. because it was frowned upon..... it was really, really nasty. :(

Trust me, I will avoid all like the plague. Not putting a good taste in my mouth.

Just curious, why did they specifically mention discussion boards? Do they know what your screen name is? Or was this just a general warning? Frankly, I haven't been impressed with any of their personnel that I have dealt with, and I don't care who knows it.
